I like the part where they have a moment of fun to themselves. Because it shows how even in the darkest of times you can find something fun to do and make each other happy
@@Theskipbalorshow I think that’s the point being made, but yes it’s sad that some of the more emotionally significant scenes had to be cut for time, that and the one with Petunia in the house definitely should have stayed in
It was only one of two moments that made me cry whilst reading the books. Radcliffe's lack of emotion in this deleted scene was probably why they cut it. I can't wait to see the new HBO series, with kids who can actually act. HBO hardly ever get their casting wrong.
@@futurez12 I mean... they've hated each other for years, why would he have feelings towards Dudley now? Remember when Dudley made fun of Harry's dead parents? I wouldn't even shake his hand. And Harry Potter is so popular FYI because of the story, the actors, and their acting skills... the show will be absolute garbage compared to the movies because honestly The Last of Us's casting was laughable, they did Ellie and Joel so wrong, I'm disappointed Neil actually let that happen.
The way i see it when she told harry she also lost a sister she proably felt bad she treated harry the way she did now that harry was trying to protect them from death eaters
@@jordanrobinson9064 it was her way of getting revenge towards her sister, Petunia’s parents treated her the same way she treats Harry, and they treated her sister the same way Dudley is she treated because Lily was a wizard
that stone skipping scene should have been kept in; just like the dance scene between harry and hermione this scene showed "the calm in the storm" and harmony between the three, even if for just a little while.
Why wasn't that Aunt Patunia scene included and that Big D goodbyes scene. Those really accentuated that even the muggle world felt the wraith of the Wizarding World. Poor choice to cut them - the movie needed a bit more humility and substance.
Ya think Arthur twigged that harry and Ron were in front of him? I feel he was looking between the two as if he was recognising Harry’s voice and thinking about what he said ‘they’re watching you’, not ‘we’ are.
Now I'm actually interested, are they supposed to change their voices? Or this is just for the viewer? Because I originally watched movies in dub and they change voices as well
In the movies, they have their own voices (which I kind of prefer), in the book their voices change to the person they are trying to be. I don’t think it’s just for the viewer, coz at some point in 2nd movie Harry says they still sound like themselves when he and Ron are trying to be crabbe and goyle. So they can tell.
they should have kept Ron And Hermione Skipping Stones that is a big scene I think ,shows how much they like each other now , Ron had a moment with Hermione and harry has a big moment with her also? Let me know what you guys think about them removing this scene.
it would've been nice for them to have kept it but it doesn't have that much substance - although it would've been really important to convey their togetherness in the darkest of times and convey their hope for a brighter future. It would've been a great scene in addition to the one already in the movie where harry and Hermione dance to the radio. Both not in the books but great additions. I also noted how their acting would have to improve a bit - it feels like Im watching Rupert and Emma not Ron and heroine tbh
Harry was disguised in the books wth Polyjuice Potion. And Ron is supposed to be ill with Spattergroit. Weasleys had convinced everyone that the family ghoul was Ron and was living in quarantine. The Death Eaters and Voldemort believe that Harry had already left the Order's protection by that point. And, Voldemort is obsessed with Blood purity. He didnot want to hurt pureblood wizards if he could help it. He was even ready to forgive Neville since he was a pureblood in the final battle, until Neville told him to fuck off like a boss.
That scene is in the book. Arthur still went to work and was not in big trouble following the wedding attack. The new ministry didn't know that Ron was missing.
@@NostalgiaH8ter it might be in the book, but for people only watching the movie, it would have been confusing to see Arthur in the ministry, as people would have guessed that he was wanted.
I wish they changed the movie a bit, like Ron didn't leave the tent because the horcrux took over him, and the part where Harry and Hemionie started dancing was a bit cringe. If they did keep him around, it would've been touching to see the trio going to Godric's Hollow together, and the rest of the deleted scenes in this vid would've fit better in the movie.
The scenes with the Dursleys should've been kept in. It shows the result of Harry being a part of their family and how magic ruined their lives. Vernon was always bitter about magic and Petunia didn't want to lose her husband and son. In the end, they lost their home and Dudley became a bumbling fool after almost dying in the Order of the Phoenix. Magic ruined their family, and it's exactly what they were against since the very first film.
Petunia's last speaking with Harry was so perfectly written. It wasn't in the book but I would see that in the film cuz their relationship was different other Dursley's. Petunia wasn't angry to her sister. She was angry that she were thinking she couldn't get a chance as like Lilly had. Great acting from Fiona Shaw. She would made us feel it but David Yates messed it. 👏
@@abc.animal5143 Dudley shakes Harry's hands and says him goodbye as friendly. That also doesn't make up too but it happened inside the book. All characters have a progress in the film. Including even Crabbe and Goyle. I wanna see that scene to see Petunia's character progress has complete. I wanna see her accepting that Petunia's rejection by Dumbledore to join the magical world, becoming a witch and being murdered wasn't Lilly' s fault.
@@Blancomilko Ron had seen Harry and Hermione returns from the woods earlier in the day so he began to kind of project his feelings. So thats why harry walked away angrily bc his friend had gotten agressive with him.
They should’ve kept the Dudley scene and the explanation of Voldemorts taboo name at the very least (even though the latter is self explanatory kinda). And maybe the radio scene too. I feel the addition of the radio in these last two movies was a good way to give exposition and information about events so they wouldn’t be dragging the story’s length by showing them).

@@timmzie2362 I think the same thing whenever I watch Deathly Hallows Part 1, I think it’s either they had a different actor before they cast Ciarán Hinds as Aberforth in Part 2 or they had him cast but they later decided to give him a beard similar to Albus, because he appears to not have a beard if you slow down the footage and take a close look.
Bro they should have kept the scene with Harry and Aunt Petunia as well as the goodbye in the movie True it doesn't redeem the Dursley's not even close but it could of been a start to at least possibly head down that road
I think cutting the Dursley apology is fine. They've been nothing but comically evil to Harry all his life so the attempt to humanise them doesn't really work, at least for me.
But sometimes people don't show their real feelings towards others until it's their last chance to. Dudley's upbringing was the cause of his behaviour (much like with Draco too), but he actually really did love Harry, deep down.
Its not like they didn't care about him. If he left that house under 17, he would've died very quickly. There was a protective charm, I think. Petunia was actually protecting him. According to the books, at least.
If people haven't realized freeform has been showing the extended editions for years. I noticed not many people realized that, I've been asked why do I watch it on TV if we have the dvds. Then I point out it's the extended edition and I usually get oh really? Then they sit and watch or I've mentioned why to people who say I don't get why my child watches it on tv and so on and then I reveal why. Then they're like I have to catch it next time. 😆 pretty sure if people are seeing it somewhere else they learned it gets views. Pretty sure I saw it on HBO at a hotel once. LOVE the scene harry warns Arthur. So much better with the movie soundtrack. Gets you right in the chest. 🥹🥺😢😭 I'm so glad I watched it as the extended edition first, then watching later on the deleted scenes on the blu-ray and realizing what it was.
