Ive been fanatical about Devo from the moment they gave us their first stunning album. There should be a Mount Rushmore of them somewhere. Perhaps Akron their hometown? They are a once in a universe supergroup. I'm 60 and will be loving them for the rest of my days.
Danny, There are many of us, of a similar vintage, with the same story of amazing joy when being introduced to such a wonderful band and their infectious and groundbreaking music and attitude.
He is even better when they played at Lollapalooza, that's here on RUclips also. You should check it out. Josh Freese is his name, really long history playing with some pretty big bands.
I was gonna go to this show. me and my friend drove from the north shore of Boston to New Haven ct. we got a hotel about 2 hours away from the show . we got in the car at 130 in New Haven . we drove for a while and then rt 95 was stopped 30 miles from the ny border . we were in traffic for HOURS .we moved maybe 6 miles in four plus hours. we were 18 miles away from the ny border at 715 at night. we knew we wouldn't get there . ugh. so bummed we missed it BUT seeing this online really helps im glad you posted this thank you so much as far as Devo well if you know you know and if you dont you should ....
Thank youDevo, using your improper mutation techniques I have finally started my backwards journey of devolution! My head has taken on the appearance of a new and improved baked potato 🥔. Thank god I am now on my way to becoming a properly mutated member of society!
They've lasted way longer than The Beatles. Just saying. For a band that a lot of folks, at first glance, thought was a novelty I think the longevity puts a lot in perspective. They stayed true to their original ethos and in time the masses followed. What's so cool is the timeless nature of the music and presentation. I mean the next big thing is long gone and Devo is still here kicking it out like their next meal depends on it. I'm still listening in 2024, how about you?
one of the best live bands ive seen, and ive seen almost all of them...been doing it since 1976...excellent version of gates of steel, but always looking for the best one...in the top 3 for sure...damn i miss going to devo shows, loved them since ,forever...need a devo tribute band...i dont play any instruments(except air instruments) i may have to learn if i want to ever hear a devo tribute band...punk rock forever!!! phuk joe biden

The fact that Trump was taken seriously as a presidential candidate, was elected to the office, and still has rabid followers is the ultimate proof that de-evolution is real.
5 decades of DEVO. They have brought happiness and interest in each of those decades. I love them

@@mokeimusic God I love that video! I've come back to it so many times
And now he's in Foo Fighters!
Josh was very in demand and popular drummer when he went on tour with them. It was a great addition.
Over the years all the drummers have just blown me away.
DEVO... The band, the individuals reminding us all that "Crushing It" has no age!
Loved them at 14, appreciate them so much more at 50!
Mi Grupo favorito, lo mejor de los 70s y 80s. Son Del Carajo. Fantásticos Inigualables, Super Efectos Musicales 😮
The pioneers & innovators of electro-punk and Uncontrollable Urge never gets old.
Holy shoot… a little less than three months before I was born!
Devo is king 🤘🎸
Ah, my first DEVO show.
Mine too!
i love the segments in between the songs where Mark plays that mini-keyboard xD
RIP late great DEVO drummer Alan Myers
And Bob Casale aka Bob 2 as well. Playing the slashing guitar riffs on "Mongoloid" as well as the chilling intro to "Gut Feeling!"
I love Devo!

Totally 100% original, there`s not another band like them, and they were way ahead of their time too.
Devo fascinates this here spud. We must repeat!
"Technology is on the rampage"
(crowd cheers)
absolutely incredible
20:20 - "Wait, put that beat on again! Josh, show him 'Electric Football'."
Smart Patrol/Mr DNA... Always been my pinnacle of Devo live, its beautiful chaos.

DEVO = America's band! Love General Boi's introduction lol. Not one sequencer in sight either. All synths played by hand!
Nov., 20th, 1988. You rocked my birthday in NYC! Thank you! It was amazing,!
We are TIVO!!!
1:00:05 Yup Gerald. We failed. In 2024 we lost it.
Look for DEVO 1996 LollaPalooza opening for Metallica. One of their best outdoor shows ever
I agree
I watched that show and it's brilliant. If you were into Devo in high school, like I was just over 40 years ago, this is for you.
marks little keyboard thing in between songs cracked me up that was wonderful
I love Devo..., For you..., for meeeee
Excelente concierto !!
I have just now noticed that the bassist is left handed but his bass is strung right handed.
I enjoyed this way more than I thought I would.
Satisfaction by DEVO is the best cover of an already great song I ever heard
Would like a full HD release of this! Thanks for sharing...

Josh Freese, a legend in his own right. Originally with The Vandals, but he's played with a veritable who's who of bands.
This is awesome, cheers from a UK spud
Damn you, Booji...you always choke me up.
Still got it ❣️❣️❣️
The beginning is epic💜
Didn't think they were going to get Bob I ready for his solo in "Mr. DNA."
" si tu regardes cette vidéo de dépravés je demande le divorce "........ça y est , je suis célibataire ! merci DEVO.
Espero que vengan a la Argentina, sería increíble

Tightest band ever. Yet tongue in cheek hilarious.
" We are not men. We are DEVO".

yup.
Good. You’ve gotta have your shit together to drum for Devo.
