For those wondering, the rapid cooling of the glass creates massive internal tension which allows the glass to withstand the forces seen in the video, however, if any part of the Prince Rupert's drop is broken, that internal tension gets released explosively. This is precisely the same reason why tempered glass is so hard to break, and why it shatters in such as dense pattern (tempered glass is cooled much more slowly).
That building shown when talking about concrete is the Cal Poly San Luis Obispo Robert Kennedy Library. I think that picture was taken from the AG Science building. Beautiful campus 🤩
