I have the patent mini. I find it holds a lot, I just take my cards and ID and put them in the inside pocket. The flap is not hard to use at all and the beautiful cross body shoulder chain completely makes it. I adore this bag so much.

Definitely agree! I’ve got the older style Lady Dior in the patent cherry red and as gorgeous as it is, I have vowed not to get another! The zip scrapes your hand as you are trying to get stuff in and out. You also have to hold the two pieces of leather open while you get your stuff or else you can’t see in the bag. Arghhhh the bag drives me nuts! But it is a beautiful bag! 😂
I have the same exact one in medium and yes the zipper can be annoying. But, the red patent leather is one I’ve always wanted so for me personally I can overlook it. IF I was to purchase a 2nd one, I’d love a mini. They are so cute.
This is why I bought the D-Joy bag (after buying them selling the large, medium and mini Lady Dior). The handles on the D-Joy fold down flat. And it’s wider too making getting stuff in and out much easier.

I have the My ABC Lady Dior bag and it doesn’t have an adjustable strap. I’m too tall to even have the option to wear it cross body and I’m 5’6. I completely agree with you about it being an annoying bag to use. I use mine mostly for date nights or church, handheld and with only my essentials. I love mine despite how annoying it is.
The zipper was worse. I couldn't do it. You kind of had to push the two sides apart to get things in the bag since the zipper made the opening so small. Had to sell it. The flap is so much better.

I have no regets about purchasing this gorgeous but very expensive handbag. I would definitely agree it is a more, "high maintenance" handbag, primarily due to the lambskin leather and wonky handles/top flap!🤣 With that being said, I believe it can still be used as an everday bag. great honest video! i only have one, and i bought it second hand. it has the zipper but it’s in denim, so i can easily get in and out since it’s not stiff leather. this bag is something you really have to investigate and see what kind of fiddling fits for you. i went to the store several times trying these on and i just could not get on with that flap. your video really comes in handy for anyone researching!
I agree, its too elegant to look right cross body. I wear my large and medium on the shoulder. I use mine a lot, and have to say the lambskin is far more hard wearing than my chanels. I have zips, can imagine that flap is a faff!

Most bags that with “ crossbody straps” is just an option . Let’s say you go to the bathroom ; it’s just convenient to use it while washing your hands. I have the Dior and I agree it’s not a “ crossbody bag” however having the strap is a plus in certain situations. The Dior is not an everyday bag ( I agree) so any lambskin bag is prone for scratches. I do prefer the flap as opposed to the zipper. The Dior is one of those bags you use when you are out for an evening . It’s not a “ hurry in and out bag” it’s a special bag for special occasions ❤
I love Diors sparky mini's! I have the Lady Dior in medium which I love and use - agree not an everyday bag as it needs to be looked after but a classic / would never let this go!

This is why I decided to get the LD soft instead. You can put it over your shoulder, #1, and the LD bag when you use it gets out of shape - they essentially end up looking just like the Soft, so may as well get the soft and it will look good much longer. I got an authenticated 2011 medium soft shopper in excellent condition for $1k, with just a little scratching on the charms. I keep a nylon reusable shopping tote in the bag in case I’m somewhere I have no extra chair I just pop it in and then it can hang or even go on the floor without fear, but i carry it a lot and I’m not precious with it, and it looks perfect. It’s got two zip pockets, two slip pockets, and a very tight secure magnet. The charms aren’t noisy, maybe because the leather is softer, though the chain links make noise when you sit it down. The shopper is more useful, has the gorgeous quilting, soft leather, but way more useful and not frustrating!

Agree with all your comments! I have 4; 1 large (black GHW) and 3 medium (Black SHW, Lotus CHW & Latte CHW) both my black ones have the zip and other 2 have the flap. Zip is beautiful and I love the charm however makes it harder to get things in and out of the bag (not so much on the large) I don't love the flap but makes it easier to see everything inside and take things in and out!

Aren’t the handles supposed to be part of the charm of the Lady Dior as they were specifically designed to form the initials of Christian Dior when they fall open? I think that’s a nice touch, as are the Dior charms, but I can’t be doing with jangly things on a bag 😕.
I love the look of some bags but my practical nature just easily gets annoyed. I have the mini LV mini bum bag and I love how it looks. However, my iPhone Pro Max needs to sit at the back to fit and then when you line your other things up in front to get everything in, the phone is a nightmare to get in and out of and it just really annoys me. To the point where I put my phone in my pocket sometimes or, I just don’t use it and get my partner to use his 😂 “I can’t get my phone out because I can’t be bothered, can I use yours” 😂
ohh i don't have. a d joy, but the saddle and lady dior are very different looks, lady dior if your style is more classic/elegant, saddle for a more street/casual type style

I have a few of these bags… And can ´t say anything bad about them… actually I would say that Lady Dior large is one of the best work bags… it easily fits A4 documents, flap is without problem, leather is in good condition… it is also relatively light unlike other fully leather bags… also small ones are great, no problem wearing crossbody… maybe it is due to frequent use..
I just bought a small in iridescent pink. I absolutely adore the colour & the charms etc. but the handles annoy me to no end. You have to tie them when it sits in the shelf, I agree it looks bad crossbody, the handles are right under my boobs. Every thing you mentioned as cons are exactly what bothers me about it. I’m thinking of exchanging it for another bag in the same colour that’s more user friendly.

Too late bought it 😮 😂 only because I got it in a mini brands handbag toy 😂. I have very bad diagnosed OCD and I can’t let things get scratched or scratches it gives me bad anxiety 😥 so the way I get over it is I buy it second hand now and I don’t have to worry about getting it scratched because it comes scratched and I can throw the bag about put it in the airport X-ray things ( which used to trigger me with my MacBook they scratched it once I couldn’t even use or look at my MacBook for 6 weeks 😢

I have very bad diagnosed OCD and I can’t let things get scratched or scratches it gives me bad anxiety 😥 so the way I get over it is I buy it second hand now and I don’t have to worry about getting it scratched because it comes scratched and I can throw the bag about put it in the airport X-ray things ( which used to trigger me with my MacBook they scratched it once I couldn’t even use or look at my MacBook for 6 weeks 😢

The pink Dior I am sure it costs maximum 200 GBP to make so with over 100% margin it shouldn't have crossed the 500 GBP. We're getting so ridiculed by the capitalists that they're charging us 500% more, I really think girls and women should boycott these houses, or at least support the indie brands who really care about quality and their customers.

Thx Amelia Rose, I have 2 Lady Dior small, but only occasionally use. I know they’re fiddle to get in/out of but I like the security aspect, can cope with the flap & clickity-clack of the letters. Adore yr sequinned bag, but I’m a bit of a “wreck it Ralph” not on purpose, use a walking stick etc., TVM great vlog, sometimes the heart wants what it wants & the brain comes 2nd choosing handbags.
