    Great numbers on the XF however here is the surprising thing: 0211 272 carry & 236 shot area for $199. Gen 6 XF 273 carry & 286 shot area for $499.

      Thanks for your input Tom.
      Understand your point.
      But you have to be careful taking shot area data from different days, as they are only really a reflection of how the player has hit the product on one particular day. The numbers will differ from session to session.
      Agreed though the XF like the 0211 are both very good drivers.

    The best part of PXG is you get free fitting from a PXG specialist. So if your someone who hits off the shelf too high or too spiny or like me very low. They will fit the clubs directly to you. I have a 12 degree driver with a shaft I never thought I’d hit my flight is now spot on. Just got fit for gen 6 fairways which has transformed the launch. It’s not just the shaft it’s all the weight combos and the fitter knowing what to do. If your a good ball striker then you can really dial in your ball flight.

    Hi! On the Gen 6 0811 X driver, it would have been interesting for you guys to set up the driver in more of a low spin configuration to match it up with the other low spin drivers.

      Hi Joe, do you mean splitting weight equally between the heel and toe ports?

    • @joelane2845
      @joelane2845 Год назад

      @@todaysgolfer I mean more weight towards the face to lower the spin and make the spin more like the other low spin drivers in the test. That would also increase the ball speed of the PXG too.
      I just think if the PXG driver was tested in its standard position while the other models were all the low spin models of each brand. Thanks!

      @@joelane2845 Completely understand where you're coming from Joe, but there's only toe and heel ports, there isn't a port close to the face on the sole.
      The standard 0311 GEN6 set-up is designed to be low-spin. But then you have the option of taking weight from the back port to either the toe or heel, or splitting it between both.
      Hope that makes sense?

    Interesting. Had the gen 4 and gave it up very quickly. Too much like ping. And loses paint job very easily compared to others. Since having my tsi am very happy. Game the pxg gen 5 p though these days my new p770s are winning out. Will hang on to them though. Also gave up the pxg hybrid in favour of the callaway apex and apex super hybrid. Best decision a I have made.

    So detailed with all the numbers in the comparison, great review as always. Thanks. But it seems that PXG drivers tend to generate more spins than others and thus lose in distance. Why is that? Why does the PXG driver design incur more back spins? What's your view? Thank you!

    • @todaysgolfer
      @todaysgolfer  Год назад +2

      Thanks Wilson really appreciate your feedback. We used PXG's stock weight set-up with 7.5g in the heel and 7.5g in the back ports.
      Moving the 7.5g weight from the back port into the toe port would mean more forward weighting, which usually adds ball speed and cuts spin a little.
      Also with a proper PXG fitting you have the opportunity to customise how much weight you have in each port. So evenly split between all three might help even out the exaggeration of having more weight in back port adding spin.
      Hope that helps.

    I think the regular paradym or the LST were your best for distance and dispersion. I have the paradym and have hit more fairways than ever before. Haven't tried the pxg gen 6 drivers, but play their gen 3 xp irons currently. Will wait for the gen 6s to go on sale at the end of the year.

    After looking at the comparison numbers, I think I should stick with my paradym. It blows the gen 6 out of the water with distance, dispersion and spin. There’s no Titleist club up there, and I’m guessing that’s for a good reason. Imo the gen 6 is a bottom tier driver.

    did you comapre them to the 0211 driver?

    • @todaysgolfer
      @todaysgolfer  Год назад +1

      We didn't. This test was against other leading drivers in the low spin and forgiving categories.
      Just to be clear the 0211 has no weight adjustability, there's no carbon crown and the face material is a different grade of Ti.
      Hope that helps.
