gdc here. Thanks for this solve. Really sorry about the unfortunate timing on this one. I didn't even know CtC had this on their radar when I submitted it to you. And I think it was a good decision from you to wait a little before releasing your solve. This one was a lot of fun to set and most of time was spent making the puzzle look very clean and innocent while still keeping the wild logic intact :D.
Thanks for the puzzle GDC, wasn’t aware it had been on CtC, but I like the simplicity and natural style BremSter uses to help explain it. Great puzzle 👍
You had a great solve, BremSter, don't stress over it! I also do the "add one side of the zipper instead of opposite ends" all the time as well, sometimes not catching it for a while. 😅 I did solve this a while back with a solve time of 20:14, but I also found zipper lines being one of those constraints that 'clicks' relatively well with me. Very nice to see a different solve on this puzzle, props to gdc for creating it!
Revisiting CtC puzzles? Why not? At least twice, CtC has visited a puzzle you did earlier. I may recognize this as I get into it, I don't know. 7:30 You mentioned making mistakes on zipper lines. You just made one, a mistake I used to make routinely. You don't add those to get the middle digit. 12:10 You followed the same steps as me so far. For me, the next step which took me a little time to spot is to ask where 8 can go in block 8. We know that the center cells can't be 9. 34:00 Back to block 8 or row 8.
Done in 29 minutes, and I will never get bored or anything if you're solving something featured anywhere else. You're a great bloke, Brem, and one of the best Sudoku solvers there is.
I spent a really fun, but taxing hour staring at this puzzle. I was thrilled that I made progress, though I did not finish it (I did correctly place 15 digits before giving in and watching the video). The puzzles you feature frequently make me stretch my brain in directions I wouldn't otherwise. I stopped watching CtC a while ago because everything they were doing seemed beyond me, and far too often I couldn't follow the logic. So, I absolutely concur with others who say please keep doing the puzzles you do, even if CtC or anybody else has already done it. Even if by some chance I have seen it there, I'll still learn something here.
Oh that was fun! So exciting to find little deductions that lead to a flurry of activity. Please don't worry about whether or not ctc has done a puzzle before. I don't really have time to watch them anymore and I love the chance to see the amazing puzzles you feature.
Hehe, I did this one before but did it again! And... got stucked in the same place 😅 I did not remember what to do, so I needed to think the logic again.... so it was almost a brand new puzzle! Thanks 😆
Revisiting CTC puzzles or the other way around is fine by me because it is interesting to compare solvers. The different approaches can be quite eye opening from a learning POV.
Yeah, it's ok to repeat puzzles done by others because people are different and may have different solve paths. Interesting thing though is that when I open your puzzle link, it looks new to me, even though I already did it on CTC. When I open the puzzle from CTC it indicates that I've done it already. With that, please do tell us, as you're able and aware, when you're doing a puzzles already done by CTC. Thanks for all you do!
CtC always present their puzzles on their own domain, whereas I present under sudokupad, so if they do the puzzle it will always be under a different link. If I know I am doing a puzzle they have done, I will try to say, but I don't always know; however the solve count will generally give you an idea unless the name and author of the puzzle has been changed.

I dont mind watching solves again , it helps me to see different solvers.
Okay, I've solved this puzzle before.
But I was in a bad mood, so fun to solve this one again.
Just like I remembered, a classic.
I'm slowly giving up on CTC so I'm absolutely keen for any puzzles you release, whether they've been seen on other channels or not.
Most puzzles they cover now are creeping on next to impossible for the average joe
An enjoyable puzzle, once you explained the logic in box 7, got me started. Thanks BremSter

Super puzzle... done in 22 mins..
14:38 why would those two cells being 4 and 5 mean the other two are as well? wouldn't that be the exact two numbers they definitely couldn't be?
23 minutes to solve for me, and I feel your pain with the Zipper Lines.
9:10
indeed they do
30:55 .... nice puzzle
Fantastic puzzle, so cool and fun!
(yup, I did the same thing in box 7 when I solved this 😂)

@@BremSterPuzzles Thanks so much for the explanation! Very helpful!
42:43 but needed lots of help , also need to stop fat fingering my mobile.
Fun puzzle.
I was waiting for 5 in box 7 to be noticed.
27:04 for me
nice puzzle
Always nice to have a second prospective on puzzles. Simon is a great solver but his 10 minute intros and style often bore me
