    That is definitely a "pocket organizer" for some. I am 6'2"/230 and in the FR cargo pants I wear for work, it fits easily. I carry some small tools that I regularly use at work, a flashlight, some writing utensils, a note pad, and even a small pry bar, and I barely remember it's down there on my left leg. So yeah, it's a pocket organizer, but in my opinion, this is the biggest one they offer that you should be attempting pocket carry with. Nice video. Straight, direct, and to the point. Thanks for sharing, Leo.

    You got to love this mans definition of "minimal", a typical minimal fire kit would be a ferrocerium rod and/or a lighter as well as some small tinder, that being said, it does look like a pretty effective kit.
    Also I'm pretty sure that it's supposed to be a mini backpack pocket organizer, could be wrong but it is my guess, now that being said they do work well in most non-decorative cargo pockets that I've found.

    Very good video. First time I have seen pocket bellows. Gotta get one! I have watched a lot of videos on fire kits and yours may be my favorite. Clean and orderly. Not over stuffed. All you need for pretty extended time of making fires.

      Thanks! I forgot through multiple fire kits and I find the smaller one to be exactly what I need it for a very long time, way longer than I normally go camping for. Even a small fire kit like this could last me for many months if I needed it to. Thanks for watching and I appreciate you checking out the videos.

      @@IrishZombieNation Enjoying your videos. By they way I ordered the pocket bellows. Believe it or not after all these years and watching lots of videos I had never heard of the pocket bellows. Yet I have been in the market for a bellow that is affordable for my ceramic grill. Ceramic grill start up nicely however every once in a while it helps to blow in some air. Hopefully the pocket bellows will work well for both grilling and hiking.

    Really nice minimalist kit. I totally agree about summer. Here in the Pacific Northwest we've been in the 3rd level of hell with the heat and fires. Stay cool.

    Will fat wood dry out in the hot car? I keep a kit in my car... I worry the stuff will become useless because of the heat.

    • @IrishZombieNation
      @IrishZombieNation  6 лет назад +1

      No, it will be fine. I've camped for multiple days in a 100+ degree heat and never had a problem with that. I can't speak for a extreme long-term, but I would imagine that even if it does dry out it's just going to become more dense.

    If two is one and one is none does not two equal none also? just commenting on the stupidity of that repeated phrase. I understand the concept but it causes people to pack a lot of extra crap. Minimal is actually more in a weird way I think.

    • @IrishZombieNation
      @IrishZombieNation  5 лет назад

      That phrase originated in the military. Some things are not easily replaced in the field if they are lost, broken, or taken. Is it stupid to bring two backpacks, yes. Is it stupid to bring two Bic lighters, no. It's just common sense.
