10:34 "But judging by her family and breeding, I'd guess she's both beautiful and refined" The bloodline talk is a big deal in Japan because of power (it has been historically structured around clans).
    33:52 You can write the two equations as T + 1 = J - 1 (or J = T + 2) and 3 * (T - 2) = J + 2, and the rest is just algebra (I'm under the impression the second equation might be harder to formulate than the first one).
45:12 "This is one of those puzzles where you need to use the given conditions to deduce the answer" They call that an explanation? You can basically solve it using an ordering "

54:03 Honestly, I really hope you'll play the crossover one day. Funnily enough, most say the crossover feels more like a Layton game than a Phoenix Wright one, despite the amount of gameplay being split pretty evenly between the two. It might be one of the reasons why opinions on the game are somewhat mixed, because some Phonix Wright fans did not quite get the story and plot progression they were expecting. Personally, I think the series play off each other very well and it's genuinely a good game. Especially if you're familiar with both series (which you are by now), it's fun seeing the characters interact with each other.
1:33:35 Ah yes, the train ticket puzzle. It's hilarious that you didn't read the last sentence of the puzzle. "Use the ticket in the instruction booklet to puzzle this one out!" Originally, the game came with a physical ticket that you could play with to solve the puzzle. Luckily, it isn't that difficult so it isn't really needed. But it was a nice gimmick back in the day. It's something you cannot do anymore, with digital purchases being so common nowadays.

Oh, was this really recorded before Cape Escape Season 2? Need to rewatch that sometime.
Dropstone was very charming and a tiny departure from the very classist train. Besides that though, did it only exist to establish Folsense and Katia? Just feels like a strange choice. They probably could have just stayed on the train and made Katia an existing passenger. Give the passengers the Dropstone dialogue about Folsense. I'm probably flattening the game too much, but just seems strange. Guess the connection will be explained later. Maybe a character reveal with Katia

Why weren't you put in the deluxe car from the start, since you have a ticket to Falsense?

I'm guessing the whole spiel about algorithms and the prisoner's dilemma is about "The Evolution of Trust" by nicky case (short-ish interactive web thing, it's fun, look it up)
If not, it's still about the same thing so. Ah well.

    Goodbye Dropstone 🪨
You know i never noticed the classism.
I wonder if it's the american version? Or i just was oblivious 🤔

No, it's also in the original Japanese. If anything, I'd assume that there would be less in the American version than either the Jaoanese or UK versions. There is a reason why England is often seen as one of the best Western analogues for Japan. It makes sense to keep all the references in this case though because of the setting and time period.

@yaobikuni1349 yeah ig i haven't read it for a while.
Wonder if there's more differences than Luke's voice 🤔 It's interesting

@@yate0128 How do you mean? I mentioned this before in the previous series, but a few of the puzzles had to be removed completely and replaced for the non-Japanese versions. Other than that and the voices, I can’t think of anything else.

@@yaobikuni1349 oh i never knew that. Interesting
I only knew the amarican version of Luke's voice was a different person.

@@yate0128 I think all the voice actors are different for each language/region. In Japanese, the VA for Professor Layton is 大泉洋 (Ooizumi You) and Luke is 堀北真希 (Horikita Maki) but the UK versions have their own VA. At least for the Japanese version, 大泉洋 is a fairly big actor and you can still see him on dramas too.
