@HerrJaeger64 He left the project (or may have been replaced) somewhat early so all his music was redone by another person. It's still really great but I like these more elaborate tracks better than the new ones.
I can't describe how it felt when I first heard the beginning of this track on a 6 second long video that VOID posted on their instagram back in 2019. When I went through Dan Liston's soundcloud years later and came across this track I leaned back into my chair like the weight of the world had been lifted off my shoulders after looking for the full song for actual years. While I still love this game and the se7en like psychological thriller vibe it's following. I will always look back on this game and wonder what it would've been like if the game stuck with the noir/neo-noir vibe it seemed to originally go for. Kind of like how we look back on the Half-Life 2 Beta or S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Oblivion Lost.
exactly how I feel, this theme and the police theme carry a much different, grittier atmosphere than what we have now. Like you really cared about Los Suenos and its story, the twitch streamer trailer kinda sold me that we'll never get this version of the game back

recently i've been looking through a lot of pretty dark videos related to some well known police and counter-terrorism operations, mainly those which occured in 90s-00s Russia and some related to school shootings i've been studying this subject for a while now, because i wanted to understand feelings of people involved. and i'm sadly sure that i do now just hearing this music with this picture made me remember the Beslan hostage situation and fucking burst into tears, this is real art so, whoever you are have at least some respect for your law enforcement officers, because some of them gave their lives, lost their friends or just suffered from physical or mental conditions for the sake of safety of your country

Here, let me write you all a story. On how this music makes me feel? (I’m not sure) It’s April, 2025. You and your team just got called in, 4 officers wounded at the local bank during a standoff. You’ve been told to go in and attempt to stop these attackers, amount of robbers? Unknown. You get there and there are police trying to retrieve the downed officers, 3 of them we’re fatally shot and you see that making you feel rage. And so you get your team ready to go into the bank and to do what you signed up for… protecting and serving. You, Eli, Kawolski, Spart, and Zach. You all stack up on the door and try to tell the robbers to give up and that there is no way out for them, they either come out alive or in a body bag!.. and you hear nothing come from the bank but silence, and so you tell your team to get ready to break, guns at hand. First Zach kicks the door open, nothing happens but for the glass to break on the door, though. Opening the door and giving SWAT more visibility. Eli, holds an angle as you, kawolski and spart scan the room throwing a 9-banger inside, it goes off. *BANG BANG BANG BANG BANG BANG BANG BANG BANG* Everyone storms in and you’re met with a hail of gunfire of what seems to be two automatic rifles and a semi automatic pistol, you duck for cover but you are unsure on what has happened to your buddies, and so you whip around to cover and you see one of the perps trying to get an angle on Eli and so you pull up your M4A1 and let of a short burst striking the perpetrator… then, you hear gunfire from down the hallway. The gunfire hits the wall around you as you duck for cover, you yell to Eli, kawolski, spart and Zach asking if they are all okay, everyone says they’re doing okay. And so you return fire down the hallway unsure of what is down that hallway but a few rooms and the main vault, so you make a plan for all of your team to get the shield out and to push the hallway, the front waiting room is clear. Your team moves down the hallway, Eli holding the shield… you get within 5 meters to the door and you hear a rifle being loaded, *bang bang bang* bullets fly through the door striking the shield twice and the wall once sending concrete everywhere. Everyone else returns fire with their M4A1s and Eli with his service pistol, and you hear a faint muffled voice scream and you hear a *thud*, *clatter*… You tell your team to stack up and cover, and to mirror the door and look for any more threats, Kawolski says he doesn’t see anything but a body on the floor obstructing the way, “Should we kick the door open, boss?” You say yeah, do it… -BAM, BAM, BAM FLOOSH- The door swings right open moving the perpetrators body, but a hail of gunfire hits the wall and into the SWAT team, the shield takes most of the gunfire, the gunfire stops… You, Eli, spart and Kawolski return fire and shoot at the perpetrator behind the desk, striking him 8 times, killing him fatally. You look around in the smoke in the area from what seems to be a fire, you yell “EVERYONE OKAY?” Everyone responds but Zach, does not respond. You find Zach panicking trying to cover up his wounds but they’re too fatal already, Zach has been shot in the heart, barely missing the plate carrier and his helmet on the floor as he had been shot in the head, helmet took it. You look for more injuries on Zach, and he’s been shot in the left arm 4 times, you put a tourniquet around his arm and yell for a paramedic, though the paramedics haven’t even shown up on scene. You’re there holding Zach as he is bleeding out, everyone trying first aid on him, Zach says “tell me family I love them, please” but it is too late. Zach goes unresponsive then and there…and you’re sitting there wondering what better could we have done? The mission has been failed.
Very good job my friend. This is meant to be a compliment so don't take it the wrong way: But maybe consider writing some short stories and making your own world? You might be able to do that if you enjoy doing stuff like this.
@@nickchambers1733 Oh god that would be so good. To remember all the fallen.
