Excellent tutorial! Thank you so much for sharing with us your tips and so clearly how to make this beautiful blanket. I have tried doing this pattern a few times and never totally understood how to do it. Thanks again!
It is one of my favourites. Such a fantastic adaptation of the granny square!! The more crochet I see, the more I am amazed at how clever people are!! Good luck to you in your crochet endeavours. I'm sure you'll be fine! HUGS xx
You are wrong. You ARE the crochet boss! Thank you for the best tutorial. You do exactly what I want in a crochet video: you explain the logic behind the pattern so that I can understand how it works rather than just having your viewers crochet along the entire pattern with you and never explaining why it works the way it works. Thank you! I watched so many videos and yours was the first that helped me get this pattern! 🎉❤
OH WOW!! What a brilliant compliment... thankyou SO much! You clearly think like me.. One level of understanding is achieved when we know how to do something and can follow along, but knowing WHY we do it that way, helps to actually learn the process and solidify the how! I'm so pleased you found this video helpful. It's a great pattern! Happy crochet xx
Hi Samantha!! Thankyou!! It is such a wonderful pattern and it really looks great in any colour, but this Marvel 12 ply denim effect is just lovely. SO soft!!
The yarn is 4 Seasons Marvel Denim Effect (12ply). There's a fairly limited colour range - and they go by numbers not names, - but there is a dark blue and light blue a red and a pink and a dark grey and light gray. I believe there is two green colours too. This yarn is really lovely and soft and even though it's 12 ply, it's not super thick. It's about the same as a worsted weight, maybe a tiny bit thicker. I tend to use a 4mm hook with it, because I do like the denser stitch. Thanks for watching.
I am in the process of making the granny with a twist, where the center st of each 3dc cluster is a tc dropped down and ps around the center st of row below. WELL! My mind is schemeing ahead and wondering if it is possible to do that same stitch pattern but in a kaleidoscope style. I think it would be a kaleidoscope with phenom texture! Two beauty's married together!
Hi Patricia. I will start this by saying... as you can see I am right handed... BUT.. from my understanding working left handed is just working on the opposite side. So starting on the left side of your centre space everytime.

Love the colors of the 1st project you're working on. What yarn & colors, and what size hook did you use?

could I use the linked double crochet stitch for this project?
I think you could for the clusters!!
What if u crochet with opposite hand how do start it off because I can't do it with hand of video

I wish the pattern was available other than a video. I hate watching a video to learn something.
I think you are right Linda. I have never seen a written pattern for this..
Agreed. I learn from reading
To make it easier to know front from back, why not just leave a bit of tail from you magic circle?
Great idea!!
I knew it was going to be good ....your a cross stitcher..
Oh you are a sweetheart!! I hope you have a fantastic weekend lovely xx
The hole video is all out of view try laying it down instead of letting it hang can't see
