It sounds viable at first but in order to attribute a density gradient to the motion of Earth it would have to constantly be accelerating. if you notice in the lateral motion demonstration if you're not constantly subjecting the bottle to acceleration you don't get a horizontal gradient. Very interesting how density appears to stop working during free fall however.
You're confusing CHANGING a vector with CREATING a vector. When you're using lateral motion you have to overcome a vector that already exists. It's a false equivalence.
@@JC23783please explain how to create a vector so we can test and verify this in a controlled setting. if I drop a large marble on your head from 1ft away vs 100ft away which one will hurt more and why?
@@ralph1rodriguez There is no vector without motion. This is like you asking me to demonstrate gas pressure without using a container of some sort. The two go hand in hand. We observe a constant vector, therefore constant motion is at play full stop. Your marble question is obvious but isn't the "gotcha" that you think it is. It's just an indication that you haven't really considered the physics of what's going on. When you let go of an object it begins losing momentum. The more momentum its lost, the greater the impact with the mass moving at a constant velocity will be. Simple stuff really. What's going to hurt worse, getting rear ended by a car going 50 mph when you yourself are traveling 45 mph? Or would it hurt worse getting rear ended by the car going 50 mph when you're completely stopped?
@@ralph1rodriguez @ralph1rodriguez See, like I said; this is just proof that you're not putting enough thought into this if you can't even comprehend why an object moving in the same direction as you that begins to lose momentum would give the appearance that its speeding up in the opposite direction. If you throw an object out the window of a moving car, from your non inertial frame of reference it's going to look like that object accelerated in the opposite direction as your car, but it didn't its actually still moving in the same direction as your car it's just losing momentum. Make sense?

Falling through water is not free fall. With respect, you are making the mistake of assuming the density of the fluid is uniform and unchanging as the bottles are moved or dropped. The dowel moves towards the middle of the bottle/test tube because the fluid is in motion..... all waves eventually bounce back and converge in the middle. Water and air are invisible but they are constantly in motion. Fluid dynamics/chaos theory in contained spaces can not be assumed to be the same as the entire earth.
