Thank you, Lucy. I wish I'd have found your videos sooner (I'm now at my 1st year and half). All your points are useful and I would stretch even more the last one. It's really important for our mental health to have a supervisor that support our work and that gives us regular feedback. Also, as you said, in the end it's a team effort and if one of the players plays against others, that would lead to a dangerous and toxic environment.

Thank you, I’m glad you are enjoying my videos!
The last one is super important! The last thing you want during a PhD, which is already hard is a supervisor team that doesn’t feel supportive or worst dangerous/toxic ☺️

    Hi lucy,
Thanks a lot for your video. I had my phd interview today. It went really well but i am so concerned about the supervisor. I feel i didn't get a good vibe. He didn't respond to any of my emails before the interview. During the interview, I was answering a question and i said do you want me to elaborate? He said, yes that's the whole point of the question.
Also at the end when i asked about his supervising style, he said he grows with his students, he doesn't know everything. The topic i applied for hadn't been done by him before. I am so anxious 😢
