If you're using more than 150watts, you should hook it directly to the battery with an in line fuse.

It will run a fridge just fine. Just don't plug it in to the cigarette lighter like this idiot. Hook the wires directly to the battery with an in line fuse. Also keep the vehicle running or your battery will die pretty fast.
It can run a refrigerator. The Energizer En3000 has a surge protection up to 6000 watts. The model the video EN500 has a inline fuse for the cigarette lighter. It also has a 1000 watt surge protection. Larger models require direct connection to the vehicle battery with proper gauge wires.
