  • Thanks for your patience! Been struggling a bit more than usual lately, so had to pull the breaks a bit on content creation. Not quite fit for fight yet, but finding new ways to make my days work.
Thank you for sticking with me as I try to find time to pursue this passion of making videos. 72 hour days anyone? Would give me time to do everything :D

At every show when she does this song fans turn on their phone flashlights to honor her grandmother.

Marjorie is her grandmother. She was an opera singer. The high pitched background singing is her.

That's such a lovely love letter to your family ❤️

I have the words 'Never be so kind
    You forget to be clever
    Never be so clever
You forget to be kind' tattooed on my shoulder. It reminds me of my great grandmother who always told me: 'If you're nice to people, hopefully they'll be nice to you. And if not, be polite to them anyway, because you never know what people are going through.' And these lines remind me of that.❤❤

Those are her grandmother's vocals at the end. She was an Opera Singer.

With the building up that doesn’t really resolve… I personally connect that to the line from the bridge that goes, “All your closets of backlogged dreams/And how you left them all to me”-this idea of reaching for stardom (ie, “She’s a star in Puerto Rico!”

Once you hear it live I think you’ll have a better appreciation for it. It was only after I listened to it live that I was able to realize it.

Safe and Sound is great. It is from one of the Hunger Games movies. It is Taylor featuring The Civil Wars. Carolina is excellent. It is from the book Where the Crawdads Sing. Taylor loved the book and years later she heard it was being made into a movie. It is set in the North Carolina marshes in the 1950's. Taylor wrote the song and used only instruments from 1953 or before. She sent the song to the Producers of the movie with a letter explaining how much she loved the book and was so excited when she heard it was being made into a movie and how she was inspired to write the song. She wrote she hoped she could have some small part of the movie. The Producers said as soon as they played the song and read her letter they both burst into tears. They couldn't believe how perfectly she encapsulated the book. Of course it was used for the ending credits. The only part of a movie that an entire songs plays. I find it pretty badass she wrote and co-produced the song and sent it to the movie producers on her own.

You don't even say anything about the story or connect from the video and the lyrics who Marjorie is.

    •  5 месяцев назад +2

Yeah, sorry about that. I'm not a very lyrical listener unfortunately. I did connect while editing, that she was her grandma which is really cool and sweet ❤️

@BjornBrorsson yes with Taylor lyrics are everything. Sometimes, it doesn't have to go big in the sound. She made 2 albums in the pandemic with this style.

    •  5 месяцев назад +1

@@Ricky48888 yeah, some of my favourites so far are from those! Even on those, they're full of interesting and genius musical and instrumental details 😊
