In this episode four friends take on the hypnotic looks of early 2000s fashion, in a challenge to see who can create the most iconic Y2K fit.
This was the era when “fashion” was tight leather pants, silver eyeshadow, shiny clothing, gradients, and logo prints as standard. The Y2K that saw Paris Hilton hook a flip phone to her bandeau skirt and Baby G’s, Britney, and boob tubes were everywhere.
Watch Angel digging out early 2000s RnB vinyls, Faith take on Britney Spears in double denim, Jasmine find OG pieces in a thrift store, and Esme go big with high fashion brands.

2nd girl was TBH exactly how I remember early 00s fashion when I was in high school. Half the girls in the school sported low cut jeans and a whale tail.and it was SUUUUPER hard to buy jeans that WEREN'T low cut at the time. I remember because as a fat chick they were uncomfortable for me to wear. :/

@@notso6331 there was. i don’t remember what happened specifically but angel did some messed up stuff to the other girls, especially faith so the three of them just separated themselves from her. jasmine, esme and faith are still friends though
@@notso6331 I think it ended because of Covid, however after Covid the girls were still friends except Jasmine. Jasmine was close to Esme and Faith, but her and Angel didn’t speak to each other anymore. Angel made a video that was exposing like the modeling/film industry and I think she tried to expose nayva in a way. In doing so, she spoke about like sexual harassment and I think she brought up Faith’s trauma without her consent, which hurt Faith. I think Angel also continued to be friends with Faith’s abuser. It was something like that but then Angel also claimed that she was bullied by the other nayva girls. Then Esme had also made a video responding to the claims Angel made and Esme had called out Angel for being into drugs, that Angel had the girls kicked out of her birthday party, and basically said that Angel was the actual mean girl and that’s why Jasmine doesn’t talk to her anymore and why Faith and herself distanced themselves from Angel

I'm happy they made a female version of PAQ!!! I do wish they found a group of girls that had more diverse style like PAQ does though. Everyone in PAQ has completely different style. These girls seem to all have similar style. But I'm still excited to see more :)

I love how the girls go above and beyond with the challenge. They get their wigs, nails and makeup done, they don’t just focus on the outfit. Im here for thissss!

Umm, maybe girls did but guys and tomboys didn't. I was just watching the Peaches and Cream music video and those clothes were baggy as hell. Plus niggas were rocking the oversized shit all the way up until around 07 because of Soulja Boy.
In my case it was a regional thing. I went to HS in Early 2000s NYC (2000-04) and puffy jackets were still it.

I looove this, the looks were all so good. Just some constructive criticism, the studio is v boring. It feels kinda uncomfortable with the white background and the girls standing after showing of their looks. I know it’s a work I progress, just a tip. But aside from that, I loved this so much!

My conclusion after watching a lot of the episodes. They should do an episode with that!!

totally agree, seems like they picked random teens that said they were interested in streetwear because they shopped at urban once. little knowledge or chemistry was shown here - it's the first episode so they'll gel better overtime, but there's a huge lack of diversity and originality here. also are there no british girls in london? lol

I love how it's always like friendly competition but most importantly they have fun with it and add their own style to the challenges.
Not feeling this at all. Hopefully in time everyone gels more and there is more chemistry between the presenters. Also I want the female version to have just as much wit and fast paced humour as PAQ because girls can be just as jokes and in this episode I just don’t really feel like that shone through. Everything felt a bit forced and not laid back enough. Also I do hope the individuality of each presenter is explored more because that’s what makes PAQ so engaging. I agree with someone else’s comment about the set feeling really sterile and boring. Obviously this is the first episode so I’m gonna give this another chance. It’s just as a female I just want the female version to be as gritty, relatable, engaging and funny as the male version and not boring and cliched! I don’t really like so much focus being on beauty either there’s already so much of that on RUclips for females I wanna see the focus on fire fits!
