I have to agree, I know you all are big on the dancing specifically (and there IS a dance music video for this song), but the choreo for this one is really heavily based on the story they're showing in the regular MV & you should check it out!
Fun fact: the dance company that they used during this era, Stray Kids Lee Know was a dancer for the company during that time. BTS brought the dance company, Lee Know included, on tour to Japan with them and Not Today was his favourite to perform. This was obviously before Lee Know was a JYP trainee. And after Stray Kids debuted, they were at an award show that BTS were also at, and BTS (specifically J-Hope I think) recognised him. How awesome is that? 🥰
'Danger' goes really like perfect precision like tap tap tap together moves the same. 'Fire' is dope choreo especially that 333 moves, the killing part U should react both of them xoxo ^_^
@@Ahjusshi_Brown When you hear how hard they are breathing at the end, it shows how hard they are going at it, even if it's practice. I think one of their hardest choreographies. V steps on RM's foot and RM hits J-Hope's foot, shows how timing and spacing is so important. As professionals though, they kept on going so people hardly notice.
One of the most powerful lyrics is the one based on MLK, "if you can't fly, run. If you can't run, walk. If you can't walk, crawl" bring the tears. You guys are fine! Stay well

I have watched this particular dance practice countless times, plus I’ve seen this live twice, AND various performances of it countless times and I never got how cool the scattered floor pose to in-line formation was until y’all pointed it out.
I think the footwork you might have been referring to at 5:10 instead of a kick ball change, which it was similar to, is a Pas de bourre that they use in ballet! From one dancer to another - I think you would thoroughly enjoy watching the two videos I’m linking as comments to this comment 😉

Thank you for reacting to the dance practices! So many reactors are only reacting to the MV’s. I really appreciate ya’ll paying attention to the dances cause the MV’s cut a lot of it out. Just so you know, 99% of the time the background dancers in BLACK rep the fandom known as ARMY especially in THIS song/routine.
The MV for this is so good, and does show almost all the choreo. FYI for context, the movement they do with the straight-legged footwork and the arms straight down with the palms turned to the floor (hard to describe lol) is referencing the lyrics which are about a little bird (bapsae or ‘crow tit).

Idk if you peeped but you looked like you saw something when the background dancers were forming the tank and BTS was on the other side moving in slow-mo to the music, but JK (the one you said uses his upper body when he dances) did a frontward flip in slow motion during that part lol. I think y’all would love the FIRE dance practice and the Intro Dance Performance: ruclips.net/video/S1Up-ZzHmuw/видео.html an interesting story about it is that they worked SUPER hard on this performance but the camera director at the music show was an asshole, he f*cked up the whole filming (more shots of the crowd and far-away shots *cue Cardi’s ‘WHAT WAS THE REASON?!?’) Anyway, BigHit was a very small label with financial trouble and they invested in filming the performance again just so fans could see and they were very petty with the camera angles. I hope new ARMYs get to see it and learn some of the history.
Thought it was interesting that you said "shout out to the professional dancers, the background dancers" it is true they are professional dancers the background dancers, but so are 3 of the BTS dancers, J-Hope, Jimin and Jungkook are all professional dancers. J-Hope and Jimin were trained traditionally, J-Hope at a Dance Academy and Jimin went to a performing arts school where he studied contemporary dance and graduated top of his class, Jungkook was trained by their choreographer and wanted to be his assistant but was encouraged by the members (mostly Jimin) to continue to work towards being a part of BTS and became their main vocal singer and part of the dance line. If you would like to see BTS dancing at their best watch the 2013 or 2014 Songs, before they were famous. "We are bulletproof, part 2, No More Dream, N.O, Attack on Bangtan.
