My mother died before the affordable care act existed. She couldn't afford cancer treatment.
Because she had had cancer before, it was considered a pre-existing condition. She couldn't get insurance for that reason. It would've cost her more per month for insurance than she was paying in rent.
So many people have been saved due to the existence of the ACA. We can't go backwards on this.
People who have never been in such situation have no idea how important it is. The US is still the only developed country without a good healthcare system because Republicans always blocked it.
