no, you are wrong the NES capability are not built in the console, the Super Retro Games cartridge have a SOC so all the hardware for playing NES games are built in in that cartridge, same with cartridge converters that you can play GB/GBC/FC/NES and SG/MD on the Retroad Snes clones
You should buy the Super Retro Advance or any of it's clones so you can play GBA games on your Super Nintendo.

The PCB looks similar to some of the later SNES revisions, I would just like if this console had HDMI and a Nintendo multi-out instead of composite, all of these other issues must be because this got damaged during shipping.

I think the flickering has to do with that capacitor (JDL2147727) besides the chip TCT-975 being on top of some other capacitors. It seems it wasn't soldered well and just moved there.
Shame as it's actually pretty nice looking console

This clone console is awesome. Supports all special chip games, SGB, etc. And I personally like the sound with a little more bass than the original console.
Because It is based on the first model and revision Snes from 1990. It has superior bass
There are a massive amount of clones for the same systems. SNES, NES, Genesis. But I think there is a lack of CD clones. The only one I know of is the Polymega.

Yay!!! You finally jumped on the Retroad train. I love this, the Retroad SFC52HD and the Retroad 5 Plus. They are all the same units but I prefer the Handheld best. This is great with the GB/GBC Extension Converter from Ali-Express and the MD Adapter with the Everdrive MD Pro. The GB/GBC Extension Converter works with the Everdrive GB X7 as well. I love the SEGA CD support minus the cutscene audio.
Did you by any chance forget to switch the unit to Pal when you tested Star Wing? Those visual artifacts appear on Analogues Super Nt when running a Pal cart with the hardware set to Ntsc. Simply switching the setting to Pal solves the problem.

yup.. they send replacement so it was just a faulty console.
Looks like a simple rebadging of the 2018 Pound Challenger by Pound technologies.
What was the Problem with the Flickering? If its possible to play Pal Games on it without? Was this a Thing with the Aspect Ratio?

The system as a whole doesn’t seem to bad. There has to be a way to fix the flicker and glitches.
De Super HD SFC gameconsole, die ook door u getest is, werkt heel goed. Alleen op oude beeldbuistelevisies werkt het wat minder...alleen zwart-wit beeld. Misschien komt dat omdat het alleen 50hz is. Multicards werken prima. Al met al een goed systeem, alleen in vergelijking met de hyperkin misschien een beetje minder, omdat deze wel werkt op een oud tv. Jammer dat deze wat minder is.

I bought one of this model but it came without a power supply, can I use a 5v power supply for 1.5a?
Did you try to put it on 16x9 aspect ration when it's off and them turn it on?
Does anybody know if any kind of usb controller can be used to play the games on a android/gamebox bought from aliexpress? The controllers I got with mine are crap,so I would like to connect an xbox 360 pad instead. Will this work?
I have the same problem with changing resolution. I also write to them about that and they literally replay "it's ok! It's work perfectly!"... My solution is to set Tv on 4:3 and consol on 16:9. Works so great after that. Hope i help with that 😅

My Retroad 5 Plus would not work with my Super Gameboy 2 for some reason but it works fine with the GB/GBC Extension Converter.

I looked at getting both the Super NT and Mega SG but with postage would have cost me over $500AUD! For that much money might as well save another $200 and get a MiSTer which plays a lot more

I have a clone which uses the same set of chips and this is a fantastic clone. Plays everything I throw at it and quality is superb.
I don't know however if the retroad is cheaper or not.

@@Pridetoons Common issue of these devices is the lack of Stereo sound.
The case itself appears to be made of legitimate, quality plastic. That is until the device is opened, that is. Still junky build quality. Sad☹
PS: Funny. There are four (4) chips by MELCO (Mitsubishi Electric Company).
I have this clone console, the updated model you'll get will probably work better, and on this console, you can play Retroad GB/NES/FC/GENESIS adapters without using the AV cables, check it out if you can :) . Nice review as alway

The more I view these shite consoles from Chyyna the better ps1 classic and Amiga 500 classic is looking , they play most Dreamcast games and some PSP but nicer controls etc
The console is copying Pounds HD SNES clone.
