- OH MY BLOODY HELL GOD!!!!!!! this was amazing the battle went a whole lot better then I never expected!!!! This real final trial is the hardest set of battles in the whole game so you need to come with the best equipment possible bring a few elfin elixers and some yggdrasil dew if you really low on MP or HP.
Anyway heres how this work as you know by now you fight the dragovian lord then you fight his dragon form but htis time the game has changed when you defeat his dragon form aka the virmillion dragon he transforms yet again into another dragon aka the emerald drgaon and so on and so forth until after you beat the divine dragon he transforms on more time into the..........ULTIMATE DRAGON!!!!!!
As for his very last form the ultimate dragon don't hold anything back give it all you got think real carefully and if he use 2 turns to raise his tension then prepare for the worst if he uses his first turn to attack then he uses yet 2 turn to raise his tension then the best thing to do is use your monster team as a decoy so that alll the damage goes to your monsters not your party.
I also can't believe that i got the silent hero and yangus to 100 tension and that i got to finish it off with dragon soul it was the best finisher for a boss I have ever done for a boss on any video so far!!!
PS: I got the extra metal king shield by getting another ruiness sheild by fighting the hell gatekeepers it's a rare drop so don't expect to get it straight away!!! I also show you what item you get if you defeat every monster in the game the gospel ring which gets rid of random battles thats right you don't have to fight any battles ever again as long as you have this equipt on someone so if you want to get any treasure chests you missed on the field or in a cave or tower or dungeon then you can do so with out the worry of encountering any monsters.
ONE MORE THING!!!! The next video I do on dragon quest will be my last one where I fight the final boss of the main story again but this time get a different ending if you helped the dragovians out you should get a different ending.
At first I'm like this looks so easy then I realized there was YET another form and that I was only 7 minutes in out of a 36 minute video.
This game was so good , however, i still have not beat it. I bought it in 05 got up to Rapthorne or whatever his name is , and I was in college by the time had a huge project , paper, and other responsibilities , and never got around to beating it. By the time i came back , I did not know what the hell i was doing. I got to replay this game, I did not know it was this involved. Currently working on DQ11
ahh the days where i used to pray to get heal first move while my whole team was on the verge of death. XD

Got everything in this game but never managed to kill the last two dragon forms. It took forever to level up past a certain point and grinding was nothing but everything past level 55. I simply got bored of trying to level up.
Same thing happened to me man. Got to the back dragon but leveling up to soooooo long.

Lord It’s just called the Legendary Sword. Not sure how you get it, it’s been so long. There’s a wiki page for dragon quest items, though.
I love how Square Enix referenced a dragon as it's Secret (or Super?) boss, after all, the game is called "Dragon Quest", x3
Not just any dragon, as was made clear with the Dragovian Lord's "Ultimate Dragon" form, the whole fight was referencing the Dragonlord, the very first final boss of the franchise.
As an addition to the art work the gameplay, in itself interests me, I can tell if I was too play DQ I would get addicted. One of these days I will get into this series.
Trust me, it's worth it. The main games i played are 4, 5, 8 and 9 and they were phenomenal! The dragon quest monsters (joker) series are awesome as well
Liam Meijles Yeah I played Monster Joker 1. But I think I am more interested in the main title series. I think we are supposed to be getting remakes of DQ 7 and 8 for the 3DS and we are supposed to be getting DQ 11 for the PS4 and 3DS. I will be getting it for the PS4 obviously. I think I might also try DQ Heroes.
If you want an amazing story, chose 5. If you like gameplay more, pick 9. Have you tried monsters joker 2? That one kicks ass
Liam Meijles No I only played DQ MJ1 but maybe someday I will try 2. Ah I remember Dr Snapped. That was symbolic and profound but at the time since I played that game as a kid I did not see that coming...
I'll tell you one thing: joker 2 is much bigger that 1 (you'll get the pun after you encounter wormonger)

I did this on the 3ds version I got to the darksteel dragon but he wrecked my party cause we were low on mp and used up my items. :(
If you having trouble you can always level to 65 and get Dragon Soul. It is really cool looking. A 100 percent Dragon Soul will take out the Darksteel Dragon. Dragon soul is nice since it voids defense of the opponent and also doesn't take accuracy into account for being a magic attack.
I couldn't begin to stress how annoying this fight was especially in his Dragon form, almost Every time he did a normal attack it was always a critical hit even more irritating when he attacked twice and hits were critical after beating him once I didn't have the patience to fight him again especially when trying to level up was super tedious

You have to equip all the things the Dragovian Lord gave you after you beat him each time.
The sword is not necessary.

Yeah. You can only change Jessica's, but not the Hero's (unless you use cheats to get the Dragovian armor, shield and helmet).

was an amazing fight kind of long but in alot of the games like these rpgs its to be expected in FF12 there was bosses that had over 500 k hp so :P Having 2 timbrel i only used 1 but i never made it past like the 2nd or 3rd dragon and you had like 30 lvs more than me too :P

It's called the Metal King Shield and you will need: Ruinous Shield, Saint's Ashes, and Orichalcum.
The Ruinous Shield is found on the island where the Dark Ruins are located, but you will need to go to the fly-to spot the get the shield from a chest. It is a RARE drop by the hell's gatekeeper enemy.
The Saint's Ashes can be bought at the Baccarat Casino or in the Dragovian Sanctuary if you play the post game. You can win one by beating rank C of the monster arena. You can find one in the Dark Ruins, the Godbird Eyrie in the dark world, the Black Citadel, and in the post-game in the Dragovian Sanctuary. They can be dropped by the wight king, dark minister, dark moth, dark gryphon, the dark sabercat, or the silhouette enemies.
The Orichalcum is found from Princess Minnie's Castle as the prize for 83 Mini Medals, in the Godbird's Eyrie in the light world, in the Black Citadel in a chest and one in a barrel, and one in the post-game in the Heavenly Dais in a chest. It will also be dropped when you face the boss Ruin. It is a RARE drop by the Metal King Slime and by the Pandora's Box enemies.

OJAY YOLO NO that's the metal king shield...I made 2 of them the first one was easy but the second was much harder because the hell's gatekeeper enemy is a RARE DROP!!

I remember playing back in the days and having to do it without timbrels of tension... I had to go to level 85+ to win, that was so goddamn hard... But where the heck do you find these anyways ?

You can get 2 of a certain item in this game...sorry I forgot what it was called but I know it's a piece of eqiupment...anyway you can find one in a treasure chest and the other one you can make!...but by doing this you will NEVER get that piece of equipment again!!....so be wary of that if your a completionist!!

You can get 2 Skull Helms to make 2 Sun Crowns. And then you can make 2 Timbrel of Tensions
You get one Skull Helm in the Heavenly Dais, but there is also one on Empychuu Island. To get it, fly to the higher ground near the Light World Godbird Eyrie, and open the chest there.

Yes, but each have half their normal health. The Ultimate Dragon is still likely to DESTROY you, if you're below level 50, and don't have two Timbrels though.
@@PrettyGirlSnuffFilm way way back when I first played this game. I was about level 49, no timbrels, I gave up once the black steel dragon ate my face repeatedly.

Well I can see why he wouldn't want to put up with the randomness factor of the golems. Combined they got a terrific damage output, but should they decide not to merge in the first round, there's a high chance, the weakest one dies and you'll have a rather crappy team.

Ricardo souza Dragovian Sword. I believe you had to alchemize the metal king sword in order to get the stronger version of it

Played this game pretty thoroughly with a guide on hand and I still have it so I pretty much still have a good bit of knowledge left over lol.

Rick 5442 dude don't sweat it was difficult for me at first (mostly cause of gigaflash) but you can use spells to counter that. if that's your problem with him then wait till you get to the darksteel dragon.
Angi Thearp lol i tried a whole bunch load of things to beat him but just keep dying.Im not sure what spells deflect gigaflash but still I'm in the level 40s.I basically gave up on him after a whole bunch of hours getting stuff then get wrecked afterwards.One day I might spend some more hours grinding and try to beat his first dragon form and some others but for now I don't have the patience lol.
Rick 5442 all spells work on him just get your tension to 50 lucky if you get it to 100 let your hero cast kazap or if you know dragon soul that's better, yangus just make him spam golden oldies jessica make her use accelerate or timbril of tension and angelo make him cast kabuff or another timbril of tension (sorry about my spelling) and pearly gates. P.s. don't bother wasting yangus with psych up cause golding oldies damage only scales with what level he is.
