just a question... Are AKA's allowed to "go natural"? Cause at every step or stroll I've been to, I've seen them do "the white girl toss" which doesn't work out very well when your rocking a fro. My friend is new to AKA. She's had an afro for months now, but when it came time for her probate, she had a weave sewn in. Now clearly, with thousands of beautiful educated black women being members there HAS TO BE SOMEONE with some locs or a fro. Just Curious...

@pinkcurves The hair toss your sorors are doing during the first 15 seconds of this video would be what I am refering to as the white girl toss. An easy feat with European or relaxed African hair... It is nearly impossible to do with "tightly coiled"/natural African hair (although given time fros and locs can grow quite long and have some bounce to them).
@lilgayb...because our growth depends on nurturing and branding thru academics, appeal and service...u are the future and knowing early on that your heart pumps AKA, is never something to hide. TRUST, u will be known and approached like myself and countless others on/off quad!!! CHANGE is always Chaos But Needed!!

Is it really that absurd of a question to ask when once upon a time our own fraternities and sororities denied membership based on other physical attributes? (comparing skin complexion to paper bags) And even in 2010, some HBCU's are asking their homecoming queens to straighten their hair if they want to keep that crown and represent the university. "I'm just saying."
