In this video tutorial, Joshua Casper shows you how to use the Multiple Audio Audio puts from XLN Audio's XO Drum Sequencer. In the XO VSTi Plugin outputs are called "Output Buses" and you can have up to 8. You can assign one of each of the main seqeuncers to their own outputs or group them however you would like.
There is also the option to send a channel to a bus and the master output. Something like that is useful for ghost sidechaining. All this and more in this quick tip tutorial for XO by XLN Audio.

I don't know if ableton 11 made this easier, or if it was a hidden trick, I just started tinkering with XO, but this process is actually much easier. Put in an XO track, and then create audio tracks for each of the instruments. Under the edit tab, there is a "playback" column. Select it, choose the output bus, 1-8. Within Ableton, take each track for each instrument, under Audio From, select XO, and then under that, align the bus with the ones you selected in XO. Finally, check "In" for monitoring and you're good to go! Mute the XO track so you're not hearing it overlapped, but that's it. Having audio tracks for each one is great because you can create clips very easily at that point... and have all the flexibility routing effects. The same process holds true for Battery I believe. I've not tried it.

Jeez, thanks! EDIT: 2024-04-10 In Studio One be sure to expand the Instruments Tab next to the console and expand the instrument and check the boxes to enable the channels as you do with Kontakt or other multi-channel drum instruments. Duh! Took me a few to remember that!

FX1 & 2 is bleeding into the mast output, how to keep reverb on snare on the dedicated snare fader. When I mute the snare channel I still hear the reverb of it with the other elements........? Thanks.

      For Studio One
      1) open xo and assign the buses to the channels
      2) Left to the master channel click on the instrument column , select xo and click expand , select the buses you want to create
      3) now you have the bus outputs for your vst
      4) if you want to create multiple tracks just select add new instruments and select xo on the window that will appear
Thats the only way i found to make it work , not so quick but it do the job

    Question Joshua, :)
I use XO mainly as a drum sequencer but not for mixing.
Q1. I'm wondering, can send each xo sequencer lane into my DAW (Protools) as Mono track (without effects or pan) instead of a stereo track?
(This is so that I can give the dry mono stems to my mixing engineer, for him to do his thing).
Thanks a ton in advance Joshua! :)

under the EDIT tab on the plugin, you need to click on each individual sample icon to make the output Stereo or Mono. Notice that a tool icon only appears when you hover your mouse over the sample icon, this function is not so obvious.

@@wagnerdarts You're an ICON. I literally gave up on this and was just unnecessarily printing all these tracks in stereo... so you just saved me, for this new production, ill be able to print them as mono, I ABSOLUTELY LOVE This Program. Once I start working on the drums ill look for these setting and report back, Thank again! ♥️🙏🏾✨
