I have to say this book is an excellent resource both as someone just getting into Glorantha and Runequest. I made sure my players in my Runequest game looked over the book to get a better idea of the Gods they were interested in within the pantheon.
Firstly, welcome as a new channel member. Every little helps and all that.
Secondly, yes the book is a fantastic resource - backed up by nearing 50 years of world building - and a joy in that it is good for players and GM's alike.
Hail Bud the Bringer of Forbidden Knowledge, the bearer of the hands ( this is his normally encounter form on RUclips) you have my like and two Magic Points .
Good review.
Uh... thanks?
You are most welcome Bud Rex.
This book is probably going to have strong appeal for folks who don't play the TTRPGs but do play KODP and/or Six Ages for PC. This stuff is littered all through those games and it feels very compelling as divine events happen and you have to deal with them and try to make good choices.
This book, like the other recent Glorantha books, has great art. I think a lot of this generation of Glorantha art is worth framing! It's great! I think hardcore RQ fans might be out there getting tattoos done using some of the imagery from these books.
Art has a HUGE focus now - it's become a vital part of the game.
@@BudsRPGreview yes, absolutely. The art is fantastic and gives an excellent feel for Glorantha. And this is from someone that bought Troll Gods back in the day! So happy to see the positive changes in art over the years.
The art direction of this edition of Runequest has just been home run after home run after home run.
ah nice to you see to get the book now. enjoyed reading it last year and looking forward to the next ones.
I actually had it months ago, but it is such a dense read that it took a while to wrap my head around it.
@@BudsRPGreview it is. i just slurp such lore up like nothing, but it took me readin on off as well. just did it faster cause i also used them to prep gming my first Runequest game. (funny enough it got delayed 2 months after the first session, sigh)
hope u have/had fun with the other books of the series so far too.
