Hey loves! Today I decided to switch up my twist out routine! I’ve been asked a few times by some of you to try a “stretched” style. So, I blow-dried my hair last night and did a twist out on it! What I achieved were soft, shiny, defined and elongated curls. If you’re looking to fight shrinkage and lengthen your hair, this is the right style for you! Here’s a step by step on how I achieved this look. Enjoy! Follow Me! instagram.com/aishabeau twitter.com/aishabeau Facebook.com/aishabeau For more beauty tips visit AishaBeau.com
sis I just started following you and wow... your twist out on blown out hair is on point... I haven't done a twist out on blown out hair but I will definitely do this on my next wash day :-) thanks for posting...
I know this was a 'longgg' time ago but Sister the BEFORE of your twists was VERY Egyptian. They didn't necessarily 'break those twists down' any further so I say *It's a STYLE if it works for YOU!* If you need your 'Twist Outs' to last LONGER don't be so quick to SEPARATE them the very first day. We, as Black women, decide what's an acceptable STYLE and what's not when it comes to our 'Curly, Coiled & Kinky' black hair! We can make whatever we want a style or whatever we NEED to be a style... A STYLE! I like that you have a _Twist Out How to_ for SHORT HAIR, LONG HAIR & STRETCHED HAIR. Good training video, be blessed!
Hey Avis, I can relate to having a daughter with too much hair to handle and I was not into doing hairLOL, and like your Aisha, my daughter went through her own hair journey and now has big, absolutely delicious natural hairlol. Take care and peace.
Nina Flowers I absolutely get it and the decision we had to make for them was not easy especially when we weren’t educated on the subject ourselves...Nuff love Nina Flowers
I turned 31 a few weeks ago and randomly started feeling self conscious about my grey strands. Seeing them in your hair gave me a new appreciation for my own. They’re beautiful on you! Have a great one
Love your twist out! I’ve worn my hair natural for the past FIVE YEARS and I’ve only worn it in a curly puff on top of my head. No heat, no color, nothing other than water, curl smoothie and gel. I’m ready to try something NEW, so I’m hoping to learn some techniques from your videos. Wish me luck!
I love your hair! I just took braids out, & missed my hair. I twisted my hair up without blowing it out first ,but Sunday is wash day! My aunt put a perm in my hair one weekend I visited when I was 8. I hated it,& didn't understand why she did. I had a perm for 10 yes after that, but when I turned 18 I was done. My family had there little words of discouragement, but I didn't care. They spent all day at a hair salon. 20 yrs later it has been the best decision of my life.
Thank you so so much for sharing that! It was really brave of you to take control over how your hair looks despite their discouragement. I'm so happy you're loving the decision you made, that's so beautiful!
@@AishaBeau Ooooh yea! I knew from an early age I liked myself,& that includes my hair. Now that I'm older, I can have compassion for my aunts ignorance, but when I was younger I didn't,unfortunately. I wasn't disrespectful, but I was compassionate either. Learning how to be compassionate towards others started when I took control of my hair. It's a journey towards your best self.
I'm glad I came across your video! The shrinkage on my hair is super real and I was always skeptical about doing a twist out because I knew my hair would be even shorter. I'm going to try this and hope it turns out well. 💙
Beautiful! Love this!! Perfect timing for this video. I'm actually preparing to do the same style next week. I purchased the Revlon paddle brush blow dryer that many curlies here on YT have raved about; literally arrived from Ulta yesterday. I also bought a heat protectant (Kenra) that I'll also use after my leave-in prior to blow drying. I'm hopeful this blow dryer will speed the drying process. One thing that I've also enjoyed is braiding the first 1/4 or 1/3 of each twist and then 2-strand twisting the rest in order to eliminate puffy roots and achieve definition at the root. I'm hopeful my finished style comes out as amazing as yours.
Wow thanks for the tips!! I definitely think next time I'll use a paddle brush to do this style, just to speed things up and make my hair a little straighter. I hope yours come out the way you want!
Love it ! Yes it is a long process but for the winter months its great so my roots aren't wet going to bed at night. I love how fluffy it makes my hair thought.
To cut down on time Id recommend using a comb attachment or paddle brush and blow drying on high. The way I see it, high heat dries the hair much quicker and whos to say using low heat for 2x the time is healthier than just using high. Just use a good heat protectant and make sure starting on damp not wet hair.
Beautiful...I started blowing mine out but I do a flat twist ...saves me so much time from 3 hours to 1 hour....I use warm to cool heat and comb through twice with the comb attached......my hair is BS length, super thick, high density, type 4
Your hair looks great but have you tried stretching your regular twists check natural 85 she does it really well and is very heat averse. Thanks for sharing defo gona try this method x
LOVE IT❤️❤️❤️❤️!!!! It’s definitely a long process but it comes out so nice. Since I live in Louisiana (horrible humidity) it doesn’t last; so, I opt for doing it on wet hair. If the weather wasn’t so disrespectful, I would love to do it on stretched hair.
Hey Aisha, I think it came out nice, will try my version of it on my shorter natural, always looking for different ideas and then adapting them to my hair, so I like seeing new ways of styling from you. Take care and peace.
Hi Aisha...new subscriber here. Your hair came out beautiful...love it. I am a lazy natural but I always do a stretched twist out and it comes out just like yours. But, instead of blowdrying, I braid it in 6-8 t-shirt dried (damp) sections. While its air drying (about 2- 4 hrs) I do other things. If you're in a rush, sit under hood dryer for 30 mins and then twist. It saves some time.

Hi I love this video! It seems very similar to the Anthony dickey method and I was wondering if you had ever checked his way of twisting dry hair. I'm learning so much and it's really fun so thanks for the content!
Girl, them comb and hairdryer technique is stressful and so time consuming, that's the reason why I'm gonna buy me and my sisters this Christmas the Revlon one step blow dry brush. It has different temperatures and it's so easy to use. Some people blow-dry their hair in 15 and some in 20 minutes. But the results are so amazing. I hope I've helped you in any shape or form.❤️💕❤️💕 (and no it won't give you heat damage)
Arnanda Schet thank you! So far I’m on day 3 with it. I think it’ll probably last another day. I could maybe go 5 days but I’ll probably want to refresh it by then haha!
@ No problem!! The camera and light are good, but the quality for me got much better once I learned how to configure the settings like exposure and aperture and whatnot!
@@AishaBeau and do you just usually stick to twists outs but not blow dry your hair? I’ll be trying a twist out for the first time soon so I’m trying to get all the info!
I’ve just come across this video so I have a late reply. Beautiful look! Question: after spending so much time on this look, do you just wear a bonnet at night for a few days or are you re-twisting before bed each evening?
It lasted about 3 - 4 days for me. Not as long as a regular twist out. I usually just sleep on a satin pillowcase with my hair up and to the front like a pineapple!
Nah, this won’t last the second day. It will be puffy in 3 hours. 4c type hairs requires to be damp in water to make the style last at least 5 days. Yes, I usually keep the twists in overnight to dry by the morning so I unravel them. It lasts for me about 4-5 days!
How long does this look last and what do you need to do to maintain it overnight?
It lasted about 3 - 4 days for me. Not as long as a regular twist out. I usually just sleep on a satin pillowcase with my hair up and to the front like a pineapple!
You can always quickly retwist a a few of them at night to keep the style
Is it a reason why you only trim when curly?
