- This is my tribute to the Brills for the 75th anniversary of the trolley bus system in Vancouver. Aug 16 1948 - 2023.
First part is silent video from archives of Brills running in service for BC Electric and BC Hydro. The modern part are from clips I have taken since 2008. These buses will grace the streets of Vancouver on August 16th 2023 and in fan trips at a later date.

Fantastic!
I had a good time on both the 2416 (with Angus at the wheel) and 2040 (with Ed).
I could be wrong but I believe that Vancouver also purchased several CCF trolley buses as well as some overhead wiring (principally for parts) from Calgary Transit when they discontinued their trolley bus system in 1975.
Probably buses for parts like the Kitchener Ontario ones. Only the second hand buses from Saskatoon, Winnipeg, and possibly some from Regina (not sure about the last one) were put into service in Vancouver.
Was the Blanca Loop footage taken on the trip when Angus tripped out the breaker?
Yes it was. My father took the video. I also have a test video in my channel just of that clip.
Wasn't at least some of the vintage footage originally from Wally Young? He passed away September 28, 2023.
Some footage with the audio deleted was on Bill McDonald's "The last ride" Farewell to Brill. Other Footage is from 1949 BC Electric "Going to Town" and "On The Spot"
@matthewsvideos8235 Bill in turn credited Wally with some of that footage without stating which footage it was.
@@smwca123 Ok Thankyou. I will work on updating the credits.
You mean Sept. 28 2023.
