    Love the Synths, and Bass, so grungy,
    best part is the 3rd verse of the song
    That you highlighted.
    Cant find a looped sample anywhere.
    Exceptional breakdown on your part
    I kept her 85 million views shower scene short video on repeat just to
    Mentally break down that sample.

    Love your break downs and remakes. I really wish you could do some on some of Russ best beats, theyre so simple and minimal but id love to see how he achieves that sound without it sounding empty or boring. He’s a huge inspiration of mine and I just started producing and also use logic pro x like you and Russ 🙏

    • @imamusicmogul
      @imamusicmogul  2 года назад +2

      Oh my bad. I would definitely try GarageBand first to get started as it inherits a lot of logic and a good way to get into production at no cost. Plus bonus is once you want to invest in logic the workflow is similar so you’ll know you way around more or less. This remake could be done in GarageBand for sure

    • @imamusicmogul
      @imamusicmogul  2 года назад +1

      Thank you 🙏 The EQ you are seeing on the master is a Linear EQ set to Side only - im only cleaning out the lows on the sides to make sure my lower frequencies are perfectly in mono and not causing any phase issues on the mix

    • @stefanluth5719
      @stefanluth5719 2 года назад

      @@imamusicmogul Ah, makes total sense - any specific reason you are using the Linear EQ for that?

    • @imamusicmogul
      @imamusicmogul  2 года назад

      @@stefanluth5719 on master tracks you typically only want to use a linear phase eq as it does not introduce any phase shift to the signal which is important when working with an eq on the master track.

    • @imamusicmogul
      @imamusicmogul  2 года назад

      I set each note to have a different velocity and the colors represent the strength of the velocity. I like to randomize velocity as much as I can. In the MIDI window go to Functions > MIDI Transform > Randomize Velocity

    how do you mix all these sounds? so many layered sounds

    • @imamusicmogul
      @imamusicmogul  2 года назад +4

      EQ. Plus when layering I pick sound that sit in mix differently. It’s if I’m missing some mid range stuff in the pad I’d find another pad that has more mid range sonics plus eq to find it’s pocket. The problem sometimes with layering is that sounds could start to clash and that’s when you need to ask yourself if the sound is making it better or not. If your struggling to fit the sounds in it usually means you need to delete that sound

  • @Hankblue

    Pretty good go, but you're missing a lot of the subtleties. I reckon if you stemmed the original track down including all layers and elements you'd easily reach 100 tracks. (I don't blame you for not doing that though, it would take ages)!

    • @Hankblue
      @Hankblue Год назад +1

      Probably the biggest thing missing here is the brighter high hat and bell layers, which although mixed quite softly add a lot more sparkle and energy to the mix.
