@oldub_ A few years ago there were a lot of them in Portugal. Often we would just remove the mechanics to put them in the Beetles. I built a buggy with all the mechanics from a Brasilia. Front suspension, gearbox and engine... at the time they gave it all away because no one wanted those cars. After one went to the UK and was lowered and was on the cover of a magazine, the demand for them began. VW Brasilia, SP2, VW Puma all went up in price with the demand and of course the Type 2... much success with the restoration!
im interested to know the total costs involved in getting shell and transport plus shipping and any taxes etc back to uk at your door ? cheers i look forward to progress on this dude !

Very nice , i WHATCH THIS IN SÃO PAULO ,BRAZIL! I HAVE ONE VW BRASÍLIA 1973, AND 1974 VW VARIANT = VW BRASÍLIA STATION WAGON.
Here in Portugal there are still some Brasilias. No rust!

surely it'd have been cheaper to pay someone to fabricate the rusty parts than import a new car but sick build none the less
