MP wants government to compensate victims of banditry

Turkana South MP Ariko Namoit has pledged to sponsor a bill in parliament to compel the government to compensate victims of bandit attacks.
The MP spoke during a funeral service in Lokichar, as he condoled with families of victims of the latest bandit attack in the area, that saw 11 people including police officers killed. Turkana Senator James Lomenen asked the government to conduct comprehensive security operations in the area to mop up illegal firearms.
