Wonderful review! I loved how even your negative review was still presented in a positive manner. We've played it once and I totally agree with all of your points on what gets in the way of the game being great (chance to get stuck, unlucky rolls, not being able to really plan your next turn, etc). It may be one of those games that needs a couple "house rules" to avoid complete pitfalls.
“Looks good on paper” is absolutely right. I got it for the same reason, and I have much of the same criticisms. One that I’ll add: I had a hard time mapping out the decision space on each turn (because it’s literally tied to the geography). I spent so much time tracing my finger around the rooms and hallways to figure out if a certain action was available to me, and this both increased the playtime and added unnecessary mental overhead.
This was an impulse buy for me at Gen Con. I've only played it solo (two-handed) and although I've definitely enjoyed my plays I do wonder if it suffers from higher player counts. As a solo game, I was able to minimize any less than optimal turns because I could usually instantly follow up with a meaningful turn with the other character. I do agree that planning was tough to do because of the monster. I think with the icons on the backs of the monster cards, the intent is to allow you to plan better, but I struggled to math out where the hallways would consistently be turn to turn. For the most part, I've enjoyed it, but I think you raise a lot of valid points. Excellent review as always!
I added a detailed comment on BGG, so I'll just summarize here: the game is great, but requires repeated plays to learn better strategies and how to really help each other. This is a really challenging co-op. Most of the pitfalls mentioned in this video are easy to avoid once you learn how. If the game owner can learn the game by playing a few solo 2-handed games, they can help new players when playing with 2-4 players. I've won at all player counts against the Chaos Ogre. Don't give up after a play or two!
Much appreciated: I agree on giving games more than one or two tries, especially if the first experience doesn't meet your expectations. That doesn't mean there isn't a good game in there.
Hi, I think that the name of the game suggest that You'll have all of that weirdeness and frustrations. I'm not english spoken so sorry for some grammatical mistakes. Watch your channel regulary. I designed some games so I hope one day will published them. Good luck. P. S. main reason to watch your videos is top view where viewer can see every detail of the card. Why You have so small amount of views?

Welp, just got back from buying the Kickstarter version off someone used. Sounds like it might not go so well.
Hope I like it anyway!
