Maggie told the truth and that is important. She also turned out to be correct - she had known about her preference and Alex is just beginning. But, they both hung in there until it felt right.
I think that Maggie did a good job in that transition for Alex, in spite of the awkward beginning. I loved how natural Maggie was in being gay. She didn't mumble it or hide it, she was just "that's my ex" and how it was growing up gay. Strong and proud.
Sanvers is endgame, guys. They just wanted to make it more dramatic with all that Maggie rejecting Alex stuff. Like real life, you know? Not everything goes as planned. ;)
