I'm sure you already have it all figured out but just giving you the option if you're flying to CA for SCMM and want to borrow my Duke 390 while you're here, you're more than welcome to 👍
Moto, thanks a bunch! My Leovince Exhaust didn't come with instructions or anything but using your vid as a guideline when doing my install made everything clean & simple. I hope LeoVince realizes how much you've helped them in sales, I'm sure I'm not the only one who was sold on this exhaust by your R6 build series lol
Last I checked you always need an oxygen sensor to monitor exhaust on a fuel injected engine even with a custom ECU flash. That's a very important part in the air fuel adjustment
The ECU has its own A/F ratio it's trying to keep the engine running in, and uses the O2 sensor to maintain that. As I'm sure you understand, the factory has many compromises and concessions to make when determining the ideal A/F ratio to keep. For sake of argument let's say it's around 15.5:1. When I tune a bike I'm shooting for 13:1 up to 12.2:1 but the only way to correct this is by flashing the fuel table in the ECU or in a Power Commander. However, there is no way to change the A/F target in an ECU flash, so even with my wildly richer 12.2:1 fuel table settings, the bike will be trying to correct it back to 15.5:1. Moreover, Yamaha only relies on the O2 sensor up to 6k RPM and static fuel tables after that. It's just simpler to eliminate and disable the O2 sensor in the ECU and run the bike on a custom static table anyway.
sound great! remember that, thats not the final tone the exhaust needs to break in before it reaches the actual tone that it will have. plus the slip on has an insert (DB killer) that leo vince say you can take out if you want to make it lauder!
@@Quack_attack_ DUDE ME TOO! I got a 2019 matte grey and its so so sexy. I purchased it with mods on it like a carbon fiber exhaust and fender eliminator and frame sliders and some race handles and it was so worth it
Guys, he said he's watched loads of video's and this one was the perfect sound for him. It's already sounding gorgeous, i think taking the db killer out would just make it too offensive. He's got a baby and neighbors haha
Furious_Deer_gaming no.. it's not a baffle. The baffle is inside the can itself surrounded by fiberglass packing. Look up race baffles. The cap on the end is there to lower the db levels at tracks with db restrictions
R6 GUY It's not called a silencer or a baffle, it's called a db killer. As you said it kills db but it's not called a silencer the silencer is the whole "can" at the end of the exhaust system.
I had a similar set up in my ZX6R concerning the servo I actually left the servo in place and just removing the cables. No flash or servo buddy needed. As far as the bike knows the servo works just fine
LOL you follow my advice for the pronuntiation , just a little thing :the "e" in LEO has the same sound of the "e" in VINCE, keep in mind , good job have fun with that bike bro.
A slip on isn't the same as an end can. A slip on is an aftermarket exhaust which just replaces the end can, so it slips onto the original headers. If you look at the complete exhaust system, you got your end silencer, headers and, depending on the bike, a mid silencer
So, the missing O2 sensor and exhaust valve in combination with completely different exhaust gas pressures is no problem for the engine? Or is there damage to be expected when used like this for a longer time without remapping the ECU?
Why would you u get rid of the o2 sensor its quite important considering it gives the engine information about how good the engine is burning the fuel.
Hey, it's a long shot for a response, but did you reuse the OEM gaskets on the headers or just slip the bushings in? I got the same exhaust, didn't use the gaskets, and i think there is a small leak.
You should of kept the o2 even with a ECU flash. It only does small adjustments but does so for things like temp changes. Always install everything loosely before you tighten.
So I just got a 2018 R6 and I’m about to change my exhaust. When u took yours off did you have to get that servo eliminator plug so you wouldn’t get an error light?
Anyone else think that heat shield looking silver fairing should be painted black? Would look so much better. Did you have the db killer in the whole time?
Can you tell me how to know what exhust pipe i have it on my bike ?? I just bought the bike 2 days ago and i dont know what exhust pipe do i have. And its too loud and iam trying to change the slip on exhust. Iam looking at LeoVince dB Killer For Factory R Muffler but i dont know its fit on my bike or not any help please ?? I have 2005 yzfr6 yamaha.
So easy to do it on this bikes. My vrod took me around 2 1/2 hrs trying to figure out how to adjust the headers to the slip on. After you connected your exhaust, did you got the check engine light on? Since you removed the o2 sensors and did not put the fuel management? (Pcv)
Ahhh! My notifs are so slow!! Lol better late than never i guess.. I'm wondering if it was ever started up with just the headers on.. 🔥😛🔥good stuff brosef! 👌🏍
how's it going. just wanted to let u know that I appreciate all your videos. keep up the good work. quick question tho... I know u got the ecu flash, but after u changed the exhaust did u hv to get a tune up of any kind or did u leave everything as is?
Finally! I was looking forward to the video yesterday, and then I saw your Insta gram story about how it got late and I was just like "alright, I'm happy. I forgive him" 😂😂 keep up the awesome Videos bro!
Hello Motonosity, Im one of your Subscribers here in your RUclips Channel, I would like to ask a question regarding my Yamaha R6 2019 model, right now my R6 is still using Stock exhaust, and i would like to change my slip on only, so the headers and catalytic will stay on it,
Hey Motonosity, I’ve had my 2017 r6 for a year now. It’s the first bike I’ve ever owned and I finally bought a full system Akra exhaust. I’ve searched high and low and still don’t know if removing the O2 sensor is safe and ok to do. I see you removed it for your system. What do you recommend?
Hey man, I own a 2018 r6 and I have less knowledge on exhaust on bikes,, yours sound perfect! Thanks for the video My question,, if I put a full exhaust,, do I need to immediately tune the bike?? Or I can ride safely without flash or tuning,, appreciate your feedback :)
Who told you that stock exhausts are restrictive? They are quite an I credible peice of engineering. Rules and regulations are so tights that's its amazing how much performance they can squeeze out of 600hp. P.s. Please get a remap.
hey i hope you can answer my question or anyone is there any benefit with going with titanium instead of steel is it just lighter or is there any other benefit
Why is there no sound (8:46-9:52) and again at (11:29-11:46) also (13:36-14:11)

Loukas oh
That's why. I've been thinking about it for too long I'm afraid.

99% of the comments: Bruh take out the DB-Killer ^^
For reaaaallllll
But one and do it yourselves
Thanks for the italian credit on the exhaust. Sincerly a proud italian.
I've been on a Motonosity binge since subscribing 2 days ago. Safe to say I've found my new favourite motovlogger.
God I love bikes. Sounds amazing man. Congrats. Great choice. 👏
2:40 Motonosity doesn't know his lefts from his rights

Basically a woman
Nice video and nice exhort but bro why did the audio cut out 3 times in the video?!!!

I'm here after watching the MT-09 exhaust video.
Gotta say, nothing sounds better than a supersport 600!

I havnt seen ur vids a long time but I came back cuz I'm finally buying my own 2018 R6 and i love ur videos! Always man.
What color did ya get ? I got a 2018 R6 in matte grey and gaawd damn do it look good

Crap ton has always been my favorite unit of measurement. I love the look of the new exhaust man! Great choice!
Wasn't the DB Killer on?
elvisge7 yes
Do a sound test is without the baffle
Sounds amazing!! Glad you did the weight diffence. Much love from the uk
Dude that's such a better sound . So much of a difference in sound
I've been waiting for you buy a new exhaust. Awesome man.
The sound, I love that sound with the leovince exhaust.
Thumbnail looks so good😍😍
I love his install videos. He actually helps
Dope video man. Thanks for the tutorial. Love that bike and the new exhaust looks super clean!
No problem, thanks a lot!
The audio is missing at 8:50
Take off the db killer :D
4313_max I agree. Would love to hear it then.
Guys, he said he's watched loads of video's and this one was the perfect sound for him. It's already sounding gorgeous, i think taking the db killer out would just make it too offensive. He's got a baby and neighbors haha
This makes me want to go get the new R6. Looks great, sounds great, good weight savings too.
Sounds great man, even with the baffle! Looks even better as well haha cant complain!
Hey Motonosity ! Nice video man!
Man it sounds great I wouldn't expect anything else from Leo Vince
Bruh take the silencer out
Furious_Deer_gaming no.. it's not a baffle. The baffle is inside the can itself surrounded by fiberglass packing. Look up race baffles. The cap on the end is there to lower the db levels at tracks with db restrictions

R6 GUY well full exhaust systems are often loud enough with the silencer in
take out the db killer
R6 GUY but have a Subaru as your profile pic
I love how you can hear each cylinder fire right after you let off just those little pops right at the end😍🤤
I had a similar set up in my ZX6R concerning the servo I actually left the servo in place and just removing the cables. No flash or servo buddy needed. As far as the bike knows the servo works just fine
Take the DB killer out of the pipe!
Does that have a DB killer installed?
Silent J yes
Yes
LOL you follow my advice for the pronuntiation , just a little thing :the "e" in LEO has the same sound of the "e" in VINCE, keep in mind , good job have fun with that bike bro.
Pls no db killer
yes remove the db killerrr
seems like a decent choice on a 4cyl bike.
Bellissimi video motonosity..seguo sia te che Chase..fate video davvero divertenti e utili👍
That was nice and clean. Good job Motto!
A slip on isn't the same as an end can.
A slip on is an aftermarket exhaust which just replaces the end can, so it slips onto the original headers.

+Daniel Deutschen and yet everyone knows what I'm talking about.
That's true. Might just be that I'm german ;)
You should look into your throttle and throttle bodies being limited during full throttle. That might get you an extra 10-15 hp!
OOh it sounds so good!! That's why I like the way 600's sound over liter bikes
Dude that exhaust sounds amazing! 👍👍 Great choice lol
You and I are gonna have to link up some day. I gotta check out the R6 and you gotta check my R1. One day I'll make the 2hr ride to ATX
Woah motonosity is wearing my state's colors
Ride the 450 again
Is that a db killer in the muffler it looks like that
You have inspired me for years now
I’ve never done this before I’m buying the header an slip on kit so what all do I exactly need? to do this right.. so I don’t need the o2 sensor
Best channel on RUclips!
Are you going to dyno tune the r6 with the new system? Also hows your little one doing?
Great walk through! Really made putting a full exhaust on less intimidating. Time to place an order and get to work.
Hey, it's a long shot for a response, but did you reuse the OEM gaskets on the headers or just slip the bushings in? I got the same exhaust, didn't use the gaskets, and i think there is a small leak.
The bike is coming together good dude. Are you still changing the color on it?
You should of kept the o2 even with a ECU flash. It only does small adjustments but does so for things like temp changes. Always install everything loosely before you tighten.

THAT THING SOUNDS AMAZING!!! congrats
what about tuning the carb? am i missing something? dont you need to change jets and re tune?
Monosity . You mentioned flashing ECU. Thats where i really do not have much knowledge on . Where do you send your ECU flash ? Thanks again
Should you also install a power commander when you install a full exhaust?
Anyone else think that heat shield looking silver fairing should be painted black? Would look so much better. Did you have the db killer in the whole time?
Great video bro 👊 Just subbed amazing channel 😊
+The Spiderman Thanks a lot dude!
Hi, went thru your merchandise, wondering if there is shipment to Singapore just for the key tag.
I removed the servo on my 08 and lost a tone of low end torque. I'd prefer to keep that but loose the cats and a slip on would be nice.
Nice bike I have a 2018 R6... would you happen to know how to best have the R6 tuned ? Trying to remove cat and put a power commander in. Thanks!
Why u put off the O2 sensor??? I think it runs better with it.
The silvery grey section by the exhaust, could you get a carbon fiber vinyl and cover that bit up? Cause the slip-on is Carbon fiber as well.
Can you tell me how to know what exhust pipe i have it on my bike ?? I just bought the bike 2 days ago and i dont know what exhust pipe do i have. Test drive. So ready to see you drive it!
Sounds 100% Better !
Huge and important question. The O2 sensor. Take it off or leave it? Even with an ECU flash does it matter?
+Wilfredo Medina Take it off unless you plan on doing a Dyno tune.
Is it sane to buy a new bike mainly for that Leo exhaust note?
The bike looks and sounds amazing!
Why do you rev the cold engine... Just why.. 😢😢😢
I'm glad I'm not the only one mad about the s killer still being in
+weth56 you're legitimately MAD? lol
Motonosity you'll never know lol
I don't find that model on the Leovinci website...can you help me please. I found Arrow exhaust. That is another italian brand.
So when are we going to hear your new exhaust on the road?
Hey my dude,
Did you get your alarms codes to clear before the ecu flash?
I went the plug route and my alarms remain.
Help!
Ahhh! My notifs are so slow!! Lol better late than never i guess.. I'm wondering if it was ever started up with just the headers on.. 🔥😛🔥good stuff brosef! 👌🏍

Why remove the O2 sensor? Not saving any weight and it helps your ECU adjust to weather conditions...
If anybody is wondering, the R6 runs perfect without the O2 sensor. It runs richer which levels out the lean spots from the factory.
But is it okay to run with a O2 sensor plug with a full system exhaust (without a flash) or do I need to pull the sensor back in???
Hey man, I own a 2018 r6 and I have less knowledge on exhaust on bikes,, yours sound perfect! Thanks for the video

Hellow man , i already plan to buy like your bike r6 , but im 5'7" , it is comportable for me ? Thank you for your response. Ride safe.
Do you prefer the LeoVince Factory S Exhaust System or M4 Titanium Full Exhaust X96 Carbon Canister for 2018 Yamaha r6?
Are you going to pull the db baffle?
no remapping of the injection ? usually when you change the full echaust you need a remapping of the injection
+Black Wolf SM as I said I'm the video, I'm getting the ECU flashed
oh okay i didn't hear it , nice
