Here’s the trusty pinned comment of info! As I said in the video, if you have any more info, let me know. I looked up as much as I could in the time frame I set for making this video so that’s what I’ve presented. Please give sources and proof so we’re not just guessing. I’m honestly leaning towards a 1971 closing date but it’ll be interesting to see if anyone finds anything.
    Here’s what I’ve got:
    -----------------------
The Tom Nolan Rolling Stone article is from 1971 and the encounter after Skammen most likely happened in 1969.
The “official” closing date is July 29th, 1970 as stated in the liner notes of Sunflower/Surf's Up. It would also align with Brian’s recollection. Apparently there’s a KPFK radio broadcast with Jack Rieley that would likely debunk the closing date if true. Supposedly the broadcast was either quoted or fully written in Rolling Stone magazine from 9/17/1970. It’s not online from what I was able to figure out.
The Gourmand article mentions a 1971 closing date.
This thread mentions an ad from 1971 in the L.A. Times. I tried to find it but it seems lost.

There’s a story about The Beach Boys from 7/25/1971 in the Daytona Beach Morning Journal that mentions the Radish but it seems that it’s lost and overall irrelevant due to it probably taking place in 1969. Google News Archive does not have it.
Found a forum thread saying that the photos of Brian in the store were from Fusion magazine dating from February of 1969. Couldn’t confirm that. I also tried looking for the photos in Rolling Stone but if they’re in there, they’re in the November issue as far as I could tell. The photos do not appear in the online versions of the articles.
Have no clue about a 1972 closing date.
(Also I'm well aware of a weird error in the last part when I talk about H.E.L.P.. Swear that wasn't there before, must have been from a quick edit I did somewhat late. Sorry, it frustrates me too.)

The Radiant Radish was advertised in several papers in 1971, was used as a point of reference for the last sighting of a lost Yorkshire terrier, and on 28 May 1972 was alluded to in a Funky Winkerbean comic strip. I have copies of the above sources.

California’s Secretary of State gives the date of 01 August 1972 as the official date of closure. The registered agent could not be contacted, and failed to filed the last statement required on 30 June 1972. The business fell out of compliance by August of that year. Since this is required as a business owner to operate legally, we can say for sure this was when the Radiant Radish was legally required to cease operations until a return to compliance, which never happened that we know of. I kind of like the idea of a rogue Brian Wilson in a bathrobe hocking illegal vegetables on the sly.
