Estate Sales are not always on the up & up. I am starting to hate Estate sales, especially for dolls. After a bad experience,I went to Flea Market & My Favorite Antique store, where I found some sweet items. Revenge. See what terrific item I found at the Flea Market.

That estate sale was shady sadly people can be greedy and pushy sometimes my granny was the ultimate thrifter and her motto was what’s for you is for you so you don’t have to act ugly be happy for anyone that finds a good deal but you got sweet revenge with that heavy Chevy I love it!!! I recently finally found a Barbie Austin Healey in great condition thank you for giving us great videos while you are so busy with the move

Let’s get real. Many people go to estate sales & purchases *everything* just to resell them. It’s a real problem.
I’ll be honest with you. I’ve bought out entire estate sales; however, it was always done the day of, during or after. For fairness.
Some may think they are being “clever” by calling ahead of time but that’s not how it used to be.
Yes she probably is going to sell them. Which is ok. I just don’t like how they handled it. Putting them out on display before they opened and having them sold. Bad business model. Thanks for watching
I understand that resellers will buy out estate sales you have to find product to sell and vintage Barbie’s can’t be ordered lol what was unfair was her treatment of a potential customer there was no reason to be rude and to presale items advertised for the estate sale before it began that was unprofessional
Oh that’s definitely happened to me so many boxes only to have some lady come up to me and say the same thing “those are All mine” 😮😖🤬 I walked clear to the other side and ended up finding a vintage Kenner Blythe in fantastic condition for only $10!! 😜😃🥰💖😍

Church flea market Bahama House and found the 35t anniversary vintage Barbie doll with brown hair! For $40.00 Sophia Maria I also have a bubble cut Barbie doll off of Amazon prime to ! They have the blonde hair one left at the church flea market ! She is also $40

Sooo happy to see you purchase the 57 Chevy!🙌 I have such wonderful memories of my parents giving me the same car as a child! I would have been around 10 years old, from a rather famous store in New England called Spags! The Barbie wall in this store was just amazing, all throughout the 80s and early 90s! I still have my beautiful Chevy, too! With my first 4 barbies still seat belted in it! Thank you for sharing your find! This car is an irreplaceable treasure to me! And the memories of such love from my parents! 💞
Thanks for sharing your wonderful memory. I only had 3 Barbie dolls growing up. But I love them all now. So happy to have found this beautiful car. Always loved the 57 Chevy.
The 57 Chevy is awesome! I still have mine from childhood. I got it as a Christmas present in 1989-90??? The only thing missing is the seat belts. The trunk is tricky to open. Brings back good memories and it’s part of my collection now. I had a whole binder of those trading cards but I got rid of those. You got a good haul. I don’t understand why those people would have even laid out those dolls of they were already sold??? Sounds fishy.
You are so lucky to have your childhood toys!! Loving the car. They laid them out for that one woman to get. So she could just go put them all in the tub. I thought it was wrong.
I bought yesterday the 2nd 1975 Mego Cher doll with a vintage wedding dress with metal snap buttons no tag on it , $7 i paid
Great condition washed the doll and dress I got to add conditioner to her hair a second time and comb it while wet her hair is a mess I own 2 Cher Dolls now woohoo

I adore you Miss Sue, so sorry I haven't commented in a while, I'm going through some health issues and have been very under the weather, but love seeing your videos they help me a lot. So sorry that estate sale was a mess for you, that is ridiculous and people don't have to be so hateful to you, hopefully that will never happen to you again. Hope to see more videos from you soon, I know you said you are moving so I know that is a ton of work so good luck with everything. Thanks Carol. I was so shocked to find that car!! Been wanting one for a while. I haven't tried to get the trunk open yet. II hope to show it again in a short or on Instagram. That Estate sale apparently has special people they want to get certain items. I won't go to them again!!
i love that car Ive only seen pink barbie cars but a turquoise and pink and it has seat belts!? i love it. the car reminds me of a comedy i saw years ago. i can't remember the name but four girls who just graduated high school want to have one last summer vacation fun before looking into colleges. one had a grandpa who owned a vintage turquoise car that he proposed to her grandmother in when they were in their teens. she decides to take it for a joy ride. it gets messy and they take it to the car wash to hide the evidence they took it for a joy ride, but the top of the car malfunctions and the hood begins to lower right when the car wash door closes and all you can hear is the girls scream and when they come out their covered in soap suds and a ruin interior to an old car. and that girl has to figure out how to fix that car before her grandparents get back and summer ends. i think ive heard of the trading cards and only seen photos of them but never saw any in person or knew how big they were. I do remember the sleeping beauty barbie. there were two versions. one with sleep eyes, the other with painted on. and i think the sleepy eye barbie that's eyes opened and closed they used the same head from the vintage open and close eye barbie that came with wigs. or it was inspired by that doll. i cant remember which it was but still a cool doll.
OH my, that sounds like a cute movie. I don't think I ever saw it. This car is huge gonna look so great with dolls in it. But I got to wait till I have. Unless, well I might have some that's in the garage I can clean up. LOL Have to check into that sleeping Beauty dolls. I just had to have that Prince Ken today. I got to see if I can get his crown back on his head. It's in the bottom of the box. 😂💕
@@BarbieLove good luck with his crown. I had prince ken as a kid and his crown was stubborn. I was a kid back then so my method of keeping it on his head was obvious bad but a good laugh. I use a wad of gum 😂 these days a little smidge of nail glue will probably keep it on or a translucent hair tie.

I have the 57 chevy too and love it! The trunk is tricky. I think i have to pull very gently out just a very little before lifting up and it makes a thunk noise lol. Unfortunately as you well know, the down side to barbie hunting at estate sales ect… is dealing with crazy people. The one you went to that already had everything sold sounds really weird and their place looked like something out of a scary movie. 😂 yikes
Thanks for the info on the trunk. I haven't tried since I made the video yesterday. A woman had lived there for 30 years alone. The Estate Sale people are holding out for special people. But it's ok cause I got the 57 Chevy!!💕

Merciful heavens! Sounds crooked to me! Why not just put the dolls out there , let people come get what they like and then line up to pay! Unfair does not great business promote!

That is how I felt about it. Not fair at all.
I was in shock!! I guess that is why she started buying them before the sale. So she could get them all.
do you take your cellphone with you because its really helps to not get bamboozled, like I can commit to memory certain dolls but prices fluacate alot especially when talking about condition. personally I go to people just selling their stuff not because their avid collectors of dolls but because they want to get rid of things, it gives me the advantage of talking down pricing because at the end of the day they want to get their stuff sold not cling to it.
The Estate sales here don't take offers the first day. The 2nd or third day they mark things down. You can get the best prices the last day, if there is anything you want still left.

@@BarbieLove Seriously, I don't know if its OK for her to reserve or not, but you don't make anybody's day better by being so abrupt. I comfort myself with the knowledge that those particular dolls you had your lazer eye on were not choices of a lifetime and you will soon forget all about them and recover! Look how happy you are with your new car! Just snaps right into place! That automobile is quite nice - reminicent of the original dream car with the windshield, I would prefer, however, if Mattel could have stepped up to the plate with more sophistication making the interior any other color but pink. That crazy survey Mattel took after the original vintage years where they discovered little girls only want pink, pink, pink. Who believes that? Its amazing how the company could have been so misguided in the fist decade with all those real life palettes and subtlety.
It's their business so I guess they can do what they want. But I think it is not a good business model to advertise something and have it sold when everyone arrives. Apparently, some people have special buying rights. But yes I am over it!! love the car. I so agree with the pink. It isn't so special when everything is pink. Pink overload!!!

hey sue i'm still watching but that estate sale in the first story, needs a bad review. i don't know if estate sales has reviews but i think others need to be warned because that is 100 percent cheating you, and other people. No estate sale reserves stuff for buyers. i wouldn't be surprised if that woman just took a bribe she was probably given a large price offer and took it just to be greedy. will comment more as i watch. but i think you were cheated and if possible if they do reviews i' thinking warning others would be a good idea that way they don't get treated like you were.

Yes, Sue's BL. I will not be racing out to see the new Barbie movie. In my small mind I imagine it as something perverse. Dispite myself I kind of like the tartish real life Barbie stepping out of her mules to retain her high heel feet just like the real Barbie. Ryan Gossling looks so wrong as Ken to apparently rave reviews. Lucky for you with your summer move you will not be able to clear away the ribble to get out to your local Cineplex anytime soon.
In filtering back to this particular Estate Sale Hoax post, at one dramatic point I like the way you appear to have almost come to standoff fisticuffs with the Poor Pitiful Pearl lady. Yes Gary, just because I like the dolls doesn’t mean I want to see a crazy movie. I have my own idea of Barbie. This move has been rough. Still haven’t gotten the dolls unpacked.😔
@@BarbieLove But it is over! (the move) The Barbie movie features Barbie in a time period that is not interesting to me. The bimbo years. The only thing I can observe about the film is that it is big, big, big. Publicized in surprising places. It has been on the verge of coming out for a long time and now it is exploding.
