Cant believe that you critisize other karate style... shame on you... every style is special and has his own way! I'm kyokushin and i'm proud of my style and respect other style as well.. that is what you should learn... to respect other style's!
With all due respect can you tell me who does a kata that is convincing in terms of engaging in an imaginary fight? Which practicioner that you know does this. I will like to see the difference. To me Mr. Diaz's kata is very close to perfect. But I might be wrong, Thanks, respectfully JCN
Oss! Caara , tou a 2 anos parado ! sou 3° dan acho que o kyaii aii ta em golpe errado heim ! ou foi meu sensei que me ensinou errado , nao sei ! so pra constar , IKGA que mudou ? ou vc aprendeu assim ?
why should a kata need to be hard. I mean correct me If i'm wrong but a bunkai should be A) Morally and legally appropriate B) effective in neutralising threat and C) easy to do. Shotokan is simplified. Sorry Bro but that's how it is. And they aren't that easy.
temenos58 Well I heard of the imaginary fight explanation when I started training. I am honestly more inclined to believe it is more like a blue print of a fighting system. This is something akin to a very well structured handbook. Each kata has embedded in itself strategies and techniques that teach certain principles. A kata will try to guide you towards obtaining or maintaining an advantage in different scenarions. And yes they can and should be "read" with different applications in mind. That said, I would consider this presentation an excellent display of self control and balance. However, I am in no way capable of judging his merit as far as interiorizing these principles (I am barely scratching the surface myself having relearned it after years of absence, and in all honesty this particular Kata, Rohai, the Bassai and Pinan katas will be with me all my life; for example today I was training with battle ropes to learn a take down at the beginning of Heian Shodan something I never expected existed but there you go) In short, katas offer alternatives for dealing with life threatening situations (thats why they exist) but as to whether they represent an actual battle or not my guess (from my own studies) is odds are it does not, at least most of the time. Hope this is of use and not too long a text, happy training
antonio dias is a fake, all goju ryu is a fake, your katas are very easy, and don´t present difficult, shotokan is a true style. He never arrive at the feet michael milon

Só para constar, esse estilo não é o Shotokan, então, as bases estão corretas. Informe-se antes de criticar ;)!!
@MCMPful queria ver vc no lugar dele !!!!!!!!!

This is for show - it's unconvincing in terms of engaging in an imaginary fight - along with overly dramatized pauses

half shito ryu half goji ryu :-D
inoue ha shito-ryu
ese kata se llama sionchin
:)
What of kind karate is this?
Goju ryu
ur the bad here, hes still the best on the world, u can sure u cannot do that like him
Well, this "terrible timing" guy, just won at the World Karate Championships in France, in Kata.... But hey, what do they know right?...
He's not fake this is shito Ryu
A base é ruim. Os pés são abertos, nao é certa.
ewww
that's need sensation ! i mean its rich of show...poor of martial
ehh? poor of martial?. I don´t think you know what you are talking about.
dis sucks man
His timing is terrible, this is not meant to be a fast kata. Way too much go, not enough ju.
Really, you're karatekas? Then why are cursing too much? It shows lack of discipline and good manners.
Mr. Diaz has no strength or power???? well, I wouldn't say that to his face.
