  • A great race filled with robust overtaking, terrible pit-stops and a nice little bonus on the last lap.
    I'd welcome some feedback on whether you think the first two passes I made were fair... there was a little contact but I feel the door was open on both and the contact only happened when we were 100% alongside. Always welcome feedback so I can work on my race-craft!
    Unfortunately, despite a good performance, the transponder in my kart failed and I was classified as 14th position in the end! lol. There were transponder issues for other people too which ended up changing the results of the race.
    Anyway, a very fun race and absolutely loving these electric karts.
    Hope you enjoy. Please like, comment and subscribe, as it really helps the channel and gives me the motivation to keep making videos. :-)

    I think remembering to hold the steering wheel at 9-3 and not changing grip that much would help you a little, it's something my mechanic taught me about a year ago when I was racing 2 stroke karts!

      Hey, thanks for the tip. I actually didn't realise how much I adjust my grip until you mentioned it 😅I'll have a go at working on that next time I race and see it I can find a bit of improvement!

    Better karts than the ones at other tracks.

      Yeah, so these particular electric karts are actually Watford's old fleet. We were supposed to get brand new ones, but Watford got them instead! Lol. Even so, the karts are excellent, very fun to drive and overall, a very positive feeling about going electric ⚡

      @@preecelightnin5795 Yes the older style karts do not have the electric switch on the brake pedal. The electric switch is annoying as any slight tap, bump or touching of the brake pedal cuts the engine. It cuts in if pedal is touched by 2mm , while hydraulic braking doesn’t come into play until 2.5cm depressing of the pedal. Any slight bump in the surface ie sudden up ramp or foot tapping on pedal cuts the engine.

      Hey Will, I felt so bad for you with that spin, and I definitely carried the guilt of spinning you even further for about half a lap 😉🤣 the brakes on the electrics are a bit snappier, I think you just got unlucky with the timing! Always a pleasure racing with you, mate 🏁

    wow nice, just got a 34.3 on electric, not sure why I'm so slow tho

    • @preecelightnin5795
      @preecelightnin5795  Год назад

      Hey man! 34.3 is a respectable time, especially if you don't go too often. If you want to improve, I would suggest getting the social membership - it's really cheap - and entitles you to entry to Monday Night Social sessions, where you're on track with other casual members. This tends to be better for achieving faster times as you're naturally on track with higher standard drivers. You'll almost certainly improve. If you're confident after that, Club or Elite membership will put you in race events with other members, and this is where you'll find you best improvements. I speak from experience!
      Bear in mind, tyre temperatures, air temps (weather) and whether the track has been busy... all these factors affect lap time. On Speed 3 (the setting public visitors get) it took us members a short while to reach under the 33s mark, so you're actually not far off at all. Keep on pushing, mate! I'll be uploading some new lap record videos over the coming days.
