    I think Sinner always has his skiing days in mind, where he knows that one tiny aberration can flip the entire competition.
    If it is assumed that this dynamic is constantly in his mind as a guiding star in a tennis match, he then never takes anything, no matter how trivial, for granted.
    I suppose he perceives the whole game as bulleting down the side of a mountain and must take each split second as a precious opportunity to incessantly correct for and pre-calculate - otherwise one mistake and the skiing trophy is lost.
    Actually this why he said he left skiing for tennis.
    But even in playing tennis, from what he himself analyzes in his own game, it suggests that he is still, mentally, going down those slopes, knowing he must strategize the WHOLE way down, for each ¹/¹⁰ of a second.

  • @Wes1128

    Ben v Jannik is going to (hopefully) be an epic match. If Ben is having one of those days where the serve is flying 135+ this could be a 5 setter, but he's definitely going to have to serve lights out and try to have quick points. He does not have the rally tolerance of Jannik and goes for the kill shots a lot more often, I can't wait to watch. Hate that I have to pick a side because I love watching Sinner win but gonna have to go with Ben tonight!
    Also I love Jannik's demeanor about playing. He comes off as so mentally sound and secure, he doesn't get rattled by the idea of losing. Definitely Federer-esque trait. True mentality of a champion, your will to win is stronger than your fear of losing.

  • @dukkimoon7235
    @dukkimoon7235 10 дней назад +1

    Whoever manages this channel, respectfully, please stop putting the interviews in split mono. It is super jarring to hearing someone I am looking straight at only speaking from the left (and if you are in headphones, literally in my left ear). And then the journalist is off to the right only. It is super jarring. It was an odd sensation when people did this in music back in the Beatles early years, and it certainly was a strange audio mixing choice for interviews. I can only think there is some technical rationale or perhaps to keep the sound feeling separated and easy to hear. However, there isn’t a cacophony of sound, and it seems a reasonable to just pan the audio slightly left and right of center if you want that separation in the stereo space. It just feels so weird and makes me constantly think a speaker is out on my TV or one headphone has lost a connection.

      According to the science experts, the amount of clostebol in Jannik’s system (ie less than a billionth of a gram) was not performance-enhancing. It was unintentional contamination. Jannik is not a cheater.
