How the hell do you remember all those steps!??? I would love to learn but I feel it takes the fun out of dancing when all your doing is counting the steps in your head. Your so focused on counting steps that you don't feel the music. I'm a country music DJ along with most other genres, and If I DON'T FEEL THE MUSIC, I ain't playing it.
Just like how you’re a DJ and you have your ways of hearing music, I am a dance teacher as well as a professional dancer. Meaning I get paid to dance as well as teach people how to dance. The only time I am “counting the steps in me head” is when I’m teaching. A good dancer and instructor can use both the mathematical counts for dancing, as well as feel the emotional connection to the music. Also, I teach these dances based off of the actual step sheets the choreographers themselves post for the dances they create. Oh and for this specific line dance, we use about 20+ different songs to dance it to, believe me there’s more than just counting going on. Have a great day Mr. DJ!
