Jinbei is 46. He didn't suddenly get stronger from the 4 years ago when he and Ace fought. He got absolutely no power ups when fighting in Wano. Jinbei is a seasoned billion berry man. There's absolutely no way you can take Jinbei out without using haki; he's a monster. The bounty system is a metric of infamy, not strength.
I don't see why Jinbei wouldn't have gotten stronger. It's not like he would stop training, if anything deciding to becoming stronger both for his island and later and for Luffy would make sense.

Ace was very weakened during Marineford. His vivre card was burning away before Luffy even knew what was going on. He lost to Blackbeard, got turned in, and never was able to recover fully from that fight. And still stood on par in certain attacks against admirals. So I think we all know a healthy Ace was a PROBLEM!
That certain attack was ice which his flames directly counter.

Ace has feats in novel adaptation manga that put him well above Doflamingo. Actually impressed WB with one of the scale of his attacks and clashed with WB making him drop his weapon. This was during their 100th fight where Jimbei notes Ace has become exponentially stronger.
As what has been implied, Jack the drought smokes Doflamingo. Charlotte Cracker smokes Doflamingo. I think Ace was up there with other Yonko commanders. So definitely Ace defeats Doflamingo.

There is no Commander level, Jack and Cracker or even King/Katakuri are not fighting Mihawk like Vista or Big Mom like Marco. People forget Doflamingo was massively nerfed after taking the Gamma Knife. Before that he was dodging Gear 2 Luffy didn’t land a hit in any interaction that wasn’t a sneak. Then at one point he was so staggered he was taking blows just from base Luffy
Doflamingo instantly broke out of Aokiji’s ice which according to the bullshit most of the community uses he should be one shotted/low diffed by Aokiji. Didn’t happen objectively and would not happen based on portrayal. In fact there was no reason for Aokiji not to capture Doflamingo other than Smoker being in the way. So arguably the gap or lack thereof between them is small enough to where Aokiji can’t take him while also protecting Smoker
Compare the depiction of Doffy vs pre exo Sanji to Queen vs pre exo Sanji, Doffy looks far superior. Kaido and Big Mom’s words mean nothing they obviously are gonna have confidence in their own men
The fight between Doffy and Bound Man is often misrepresented in of itself. Doffy was losing without his awakening but ppl ignore he was fast enough to dodge one attack and land a kick while nerfed. Then he awakened and Luffy was winning for 20 minutes with a panel of him getting grazed. He obviously wouldn’t be running from something that can’t hurt him

Compare Yonko and Admiral feats pre timeskip to post timeskip. It's almost night and day. And the sudden heavy utilization of Haki makes that more apparent.

Remember when the Anbu black ops were saying, "WOW, SO THIS IS HOKAGE LEVEL COMBAT!!!" 😂 Kage-level characters at the end of the series are casually doing Large Island + stuff at minimum while the 3rd Hokage and them boys splashing water around was considered "Hokage level" back then 😭

You also have to keep in mind that in Impel down ace was fighting the prison guards while sea stone cuffed. Luffy wasn’t able to move while being cuffed until Wano
When did we see Luffy cuffed with seastone tho? Like the only time I remember him was when he touched the seastone bars and cuffs of Law at Dressrosa where he did feel very tired but could still move a bit.

The simple fact that he was reasonably clashing with Akainu for a moment, while weakened, and was only really overpowered due to a type disadvantage was enough proof to me that he was strong.

Ace died at the level Luffy came back from his timeskip, around lvl 80, at Marineford Ace was weakened, his vivre card was burning from the beating he received from Blackbeard and the way they handled him in Impel Down, he could not put much of a fight there, when Ace met Yamato they were around the same level, but after she learned of his death she started grinding levels like crazy attaining YC1 lvl, all in the hopes of a chance meeting with Luffy, to fight by his side, and that happened, if Ace was still alive he would be even higher, he was a natural, the most gifted of the ASL trio, so when it shows a fresh Ace in a flashback situation being gassed up, it's beliavable for me, it's him at a 100%.

Nobody ever mentions it but it makes perfect sense for him to be weaker at marineford. He lost to the bb pirates, was held in a cell and probably beat while in impel down, then is in a weakened emotional state the whole war. Plus was weaked from wearing seastone cuffs for how many days straight? And to top all this off this is a decade of writing before all the common techniques and abilities of haki that were introduced into the story. So yea ace is shown way weaker than he actually is. Like crocodile, like whitebeard, akainu, etc. 100% ace was probably around king level tbh maybeeee slightly above imo

In the light novel manga Ace trains his observation Haki and seemingly against WB we see a panel of him seeing his death in the future. So future sight. However is it possible that we also saw Advanced observation by Ace against Van Auger? Van Auger should know that Ace is a Logia so normal bullets wouldn't hurt him. If Van Auger had Haki pre-timeskip, then Oda can give another buff to Ace in the manga and say Ace used Advanced Observation Haki to mold his body so the Haki bullets went through him like Katakuri would do it with his Mochi.

I've always had Ace around 1st commander level, slightly below all of them but in the same tier. The narrative always put him there, and his only actual feats in pre timeskip are against BB who we have no info on, and Admirals. His bounty was very low for those standards but you have to consider that everyone above him needed decades of pirating to gain that infamy, the only exception is Luffy and his crew. With all of the new feats we got from Ace in Wano and beyond I'm starting to understand why WB wanted to make him Pirate King, imagine if Ace went through a 2 year intensive Haki training like Luffy did, maybe even awakened his devil fruit. That would already put him in Yonko tier imo.

Don't we have to at least put him in the power level of a second division commander? Possibly even higher? Cause he was a second division commander so he's gotta be on that level. One of the strongest pirates ever being whitebeard for that matter. Whitebeard put ace as his second strongest member so that's some credit right there. He was even offered a warlord status before he joined whitebeard where he was probably a lot weaker then. I'd say before he died he was probably as strong as a 1st division commander for sure but I wouldn't go any higher. The only reason people hate on him and thinks he's weak is we didn't get to see much by him but his title alone gives him power. He was in a bad matchup against akainu and admirals have been shown to be stronger than 1st division commanders for sure. Also ace died cause luffy was bumbling around and Akinu and most marines there were just stronger than luffy Ace died protecting his little brother but people always give him hate for it. Even though he'd lose I think he'd still be able to give akainu a pretty good fight and beat pretty much any enemy besides the admirals or those above them.

Well from going off most screentime at marineford Marco Jozu and Vista are the top3. Ace most definitely put himself up there in the top3. Teach and Ace definitely throw this off but Vista Jozu Marco are the 3 that have been around since Oden time and grew up together. So going off matchups Kaido v WB crew per se Marco vs King Jozu vs Queen Vista vs Jack would be the top commander matchups. Ace fighting Yamato in the past lines this up as well perfectly seeing as she is atleast top commander lvl as well but not being an all star of Kaido crew

Akainus faster and was right behind them plus they'd still have to deal with the other vice admirals admirals and other strong marines there. They might have had a higher chance of getting away but don't make it seem like they would have been fine if they kept running. A man made of light was there lol. Akainu or someone else might have been able to kill or capture both Ace AND Luffy if they had kept running. Ace shouldn't have turned back like that. But luffy being there kind of held everyone back. That wax a major plot point of thd arc. Luffy even had his breakdown saying he was too weak to save or protect Ace of his crew. It was Ace and Luffys fault that Ace died. If they would have been able to keep running more I guess you could say shanks would have shown up before Ace died then the war would have ended yet again. But this time with Ace surviving. Whitebeard probably still would have past because of all his injuries even though he died after Ace.

If you’re going by the novel he obviously claps both of those bums. King might be a bad match up if he’s resistant to other people’s fire but I’m still taking Ace. Nothing implies King or Katakuri can fight any Yonko especially not the strongest one at the time. That fight was far before WB’s illness got as bad as it was during MF, Marco specifically said it had gotten worse. If he’s stronger than Shanks even by a hair it means he’s comfortably stronger than Kaido. Katakuri in chapter 873 admitted their entire crew couldn’t take Big Mom and Queen who is King’s rival immediately got overwhelmed by Big Mom without her fruit or Haki
Marco met Big Mom in 992 and fought equally off panel until 995. The scale of their clash was the same as Kaido and Big Mom in 952. Everyone just says it was one clash ignoring the scale of it, focuses on Big Mom grabbing him, and ignores the full context. He knocked out all her souls, she asked for outside assistance, then dipped even though she has king’s coating
Even Vista someone objectively below Marco could bring it to Mihawk without getting a scratch. Compared to Lucci for example who initially looked good but quickly started taking damage. And further to the point it’s obvious Lucci is stronger than King/Katakuri based on the Luffy fight but also how well he’s doing against Zoro. Zoro would mid dif King in a rematch but looks like he’ll have to high dif Lucci

Well, most of Ace stuff was pre time skip, so it's not likely for Oda to revisit him just to show him using Haki.
I don't think this changes muchs about Ace's power level, since he was always shown to be significantly stronger than Luffy and, considering how fast Luffy has grown to be at yonkou level (Nika noted) .
Marko's power is hard to judge because if it is not clear if he's gotten weaker after the disband of the Whitebeard's crew. He took King and Queen but it didn't look like he would be able to low diff any of them alone either, since his durability is way higher than his offensive capabilities. Ace, on the flip side has a lot of destructive power, so it is hard to compare him to Marko.
But the safest bet is to assume Ace was at First Younkou Commander level since Whitebeard heavily implied it. Him being a bit stronger or a bit weaker than King, Katakuri and others on similar positions are debatable.
About the man guarding the Road Poneglyph being a former Warlord, the WG has shwon to be able to give power to people being it though Rokushiki, Devil Fruits or technology if they are to do their bidding. So I do'nt think it is unreasonable that someone that could be as low as Moria and Doffy in terms of power to get to at least Admiral level with proper enhancements - he could have been turned into a cyborg even if Ace has beaten him close enough to dead. Kuma's timeline would allow for Vegapunk to use his technology on this situation as well.
I think people always forgot that Ace came to a winter island and straight up change the climate of the country by his presence alone.

Personally always saw Ace as underrated because of how he lost to Akainu which would've happened regardless but not as badly as if luffy wasn't even there, his lack of displaying haki when he's a pre-timeskip character in a time where everyone in the show also lacked it. I don't get what people's issue is. Ace was a second division commander Ace fought Admirals. At bare minimum before he died he was up there with that level and Luffy didn't catch up to Ace until Wholecake
This is a great example of how power systems fail in the OP verse. We can never have an accurate scope of Ace's level simply because all of his feats are second hand accounts against opponents who held warlord titles(+Yamato at an unknown power level) and this title having absolutely no accurate metric of power scaling. Especially now with the warlord system disbanded and bounties being reassesed, we are supposed to take it on good faith that all of Luffy's warlord dubs meant he beat billion berry opps with no haki and simply by circumstance/gimmick.
Similarly we are lead to think Marco is kinda mid because he gets 1 tapped by an admiral but also was ranked above Ace, able to stand up to 2 yonko commanders at once, and able to fend of an admiral level attack, so really rank in WB crew probably doesn't only account for power.
You tend to forget that Whitebeard saw him as the next pirate king. That counts.

Luffy Beat 2 Warlords out the gate pre timeskip not much training. Technically 3 of that power level if you count Enel. Not surprised that Ace is as strong as he is after being out at sea 3 years before Luffy got out, fighting and training with Whitebeard, and his crew. I would expect him to be on point with Luffy Post timeskip possibly G4 bounce man level?

I think both Ace and Sabo are at the same power level and given they are experienced logia users they are at the level of admirals.
A few other points to consider,
1. Even if they both had conquerors haki as a kid, I do not think it fully manifested because both of them decided to serve under someone and did not dream to become a king/leader.
2. Given Ace was a yonko commander and Sabo chief of staff for the Rev army it is reasonable to assume that they can keep up with the admirals.
3. Another reason Ace’s conquerors haki may have not manifested fully is because after joining the Whitebeards he decided to operate solo on his own without any comrades assisting him.
4. He should at least be considered admiral level or high warlord level given he was comfortable sailing solo in the new world and there is only one other character who does that and may be a second one if we decide to include Kuzan.
Black beard also has no haki feats at all but ppl scream for him to be strong. Personally I believe he is going to turn out to be a fraud and his crew is going to carry him.
As strong as Marco Jozu and Vista. He didn’t get any feat we already knew he beat a warlord, Jimbei and this is all 2 years before he reaches his peak. Only his peak is relevant which we have little to go off of in the Manga other than portrayal
Honestly the fight with Ace and Blackbeard is weird. On the one hand its pre timeskip and we can't see any Haki use, on the other both could have been using armament or observation and we would be none the wiser. Hell Ace and Blackbeard could have been using advanced Conquerors as well and we wouldn't know. But that's the issue with pre timeskip fights, this one could just be simple Devil Fruit vs Devil Fruit, or there's advanced haki thrown around and we wouldn't know.

Ace was never weak, he was a commander on the Strongest Man’s ship, the community says he’s weak but nor in the anime nor in the manga was it confirmed he couldn’t use haki or wasn’t on par with other Yonkou’s commanders, just because he appeared PTS it doesn’t mean he couldn’t use haki, that’s bs, how does a Yonkou’s commander not know how to use basic armament, it’s just not possible, broken Logia, broken Genetics, CoQ and he arguably lost against BB just because he didn’t know what to expect from his DF while BB probably knew all the secrets of Ace’s fighting style, and also remember, BB was never weak, he chose to look weak but he wasn’t

Ace died at the age of 20. And went to sea at 17. That is, in this period of 3 years - he defeated the former Shichibukai, renounced the title of Shichibukai, met Shanks in the New World, reached Wano and fought Yamato, fought Jinbe and met WB.
5 years ago - at the age of 17, Ace went to sea. 3 years before his death.
5-4 years ago - defeated Shichibukai.
4 years ago - at the age of 18, Ace reached Wano and then joined the Whitebeard. 2 years before his death.
Where did these 6 years come from? He's only been pirating for 3 years. In addition, the characters have become much stronger during the Time Skip. Ace would have been a contender for the title of Pirate King if he hadn't died, as Chinjao said.
Ace is VERY VERY VERY Strong, he fought Kuzain to a draw. The part stated that fire is stronger than ICE does not matter at all, remember what Greenbull said it is obvious fire is the weakness to my devil fruit and yet he worked on it to the point where is does not or has little effect on it, (Raizo used kaido's flame without the will behind it) and kuzain fought akainu fought for ten day and ten night none stop. We don't even what of warlord that ace fought (it could even mean it is the same one that cut of Zepher arm of an Admiral that was seen as in the same respect as Garp., Tsuru, SenGoku as who train Akainu, Kuzain and Kizaru) we just dont know, that warlord could be past member of Rock's crew, Also ACE had the balls to declare a war to KAIDO, FUCKING KAIDO, and it took Akainu to kill ACE(GRANTED HE WANTED TO PROTECT LUFFY but still)

Hot take. Doffy is overrated. He would have a hard time getting past Jack and Cracker. And if we use light novel Ace, he is definitely a top commander who smokes Doffy. But if I don't really rely on the light novel as much he is a solid midline commander like Queen, current Jimbei(who I believe did get a bit stronger than he was when he fought Ace). He is definitely above Jozu and Vista in my opinion. His portrayal is below Marco though as the 2nd strongest commander of the WB pirates.
