@@gijis02 Thats a good question! I think it all depends on who's idea it is, if one person is clearly the creator or if you're co-creators, and maybe establishing those values up front of what you're hoping the thing will be!

Explaining the difference between a short film and a pilot is so interesting! I feel like a lot of times people see a short film and want to turn it into a tv show but they don’t know what happens after the short
Yeah that's a really good point! And as much as a pilot has an "ending", a short film really should have at least an element of finality to it- while a pilot should have a feeling of "to be continued..." a loose thread if you will

I also played with the thought once. "What if the main Charakter wasn't the hero of the story, but the support" I love that Idea and I find it awesome that you are doing it!
this is honestly inspiring. the idea of someone even just attempting an independent animated series (and quite frankly, succeeding!) is very comforting, knowing that it can be done. cannot wait to support this when it comes out :)

Aah, I've been so excited about Stormfellers ever since I first heard you talk about the plot!
The concept of a support character who's always "in the background" being the protagonist is so interesting to me! When I was a kid, I remember at some point thinking "Why do only the super cool guys get to be the protagonists? Why can't the normal side characters be protagonists for once?!", and your story reminds me of that!
I also love that you're choosing to let us get to know the world and characters through context instead of exposition, I want to do that with my own stories as well, I think it's gonna make the beginning more fun!
The main cast looks really cute and cool, too (I particularly love Aecious' design), I'm really looking forward to it! (>_

Animation is addictive. When you start that first short or pilot you may have a love hate relationship with the project, but you’ll want to do more, because it’s so cool bringing animations to life. I see this is 3D. That’s cool I only know how to work in 2D. Programs like Harmony and Adobe Animate. I can ask around at my school if any 3D seniors or anyone proficient in the 3D spaces can help. I love to see independent animations! I’m excited for the premiere when it happens!👏👏👏

Congratulations on realizing your dreams like this :) This is SO cool and it has to feel wonderful to have your creations come to life in this fashion. You've put a lot of time and passion into these characters and I've been really eager to see what comes of Stormfellers ever since I first heard of it. I was a little worried when things seemed to go kind of quiet on it, but this was a great reveal!

I found about your channel last month but ever since i couldnt stop watching it since i always wanted to be a character designer but at the same time it felt like most channels about design gave weak and confusing advice. Discovered your work through Instagram & followed you here. I'm really looking forward to seeing this come together! Huge respect for anyone taking on such awesome projects from scratch. It's a massive amount of work and the big studios/corporations don't make it easy for independent creators. Sometimes it feels impossible to get a project up and running mostly by oneself but you're very inspiring!

Watching some of your videos where you used Blender peaked my interest yo start teaching myself how to use the software. I have made a few models but I feel I have a long way to go before I am confident enough to construct actual characters.

tabletop roleplay game designer...? well... i tried several times to make some tabletop strategy games here at home, and was thinking about some roleplay games too, but no success so far... the few game ideas i made be able to be tested were kinda boring when i was testing them... maybe because i was testing them all alone, but i have no friends in real life. i'm constantly thinking about making games, but my lack of confidence is holding me back. what am i doing here, even if i could do what you need, you couldn't pay me. in the country where i live, money can only be transferred if it comes from an official job with license and all that stuff. i just wish good luck, can't wait to see what you are working on :)
I totally understand! I'm sort of in the same boat where the idea of a game design is exciting, but usually it's because of the aesthetics and art- actually balancing systems in an interesting way is something I just don't have as a strength- but, I've got this whole world ripe for it with Stormfellers!

Hi Brooke, I'm a fan of your content. Amazing! I wanted to ask you. How do you come up with such great naming for your characters? They sound so original....
I wish I had a good formula for it, it usually starts out phonetically, then I just refuse to use anything that sounds like it already exists- then I usually try and google it to see if it already exists (or it means something awful in another language!)

I'm making an indie animated show, the pilot movie, a hero named Kenyon would meet 5 heroes, the pilot would be about the introduction of our 6 heroes working together fighting the pilot villain near the climax which would lead into the series, in case you're wondering no, its not going to be an adult show, I want to stand out from most of the indie animated shows, its an action kids show, the main series would be about meeting new heroes/villains, a group of anti heroes would be seen. (the anti heroes will have their own mimi series) The slice of life episodes would be about the heroes doing normal things when there is no villain to fight, there will be self aware jokes/4th wall jokes, live action, puppets, and stop motion moments in the show, sorry that this is long, I just wanted to know what do you think about me making an action kids show for kids and adults to enjoy by everyone and what I said about it?
