Hi there, I’m also building a speed boat using a bmw engine (m57 from an e46 330d with a stand-alone ecu) I’ve done plenty of research and most people seem to think the alpha isn’t a strong enough gearbox, I am just wondering how yours is holding up? I’m planning to use the slightly older mc1 which in lead to believe is pretty much an alpha. Thanksb

So fare it is holding up nicely. No sudden accelerations keeps the torque down.

Im bulding a glastron with a m57 3.0 bmw engine wats te ratio of your drive shaft mine is 1/2,60 an de engine is 260hp with max5000rpm look at my videos for starting it

It is all mechanical, so only wiring for glowplugs and shut-off valve.
