Sargent major I feel it's wrong for the army to charge it's soldiers for their food . I think it would improve our image and reputation for enlistment benefits. I'm sure you feel the same way, most men who will risk or give their life for the united states 🇺🇸 feel worthy they earned their food. I say this for the good of the army and hope it helps.

Soldiers do not pay for their food. BAS (Basic Allowance for Subsistence) is provided, it is either used at the unit DFAC (Dining Facility) or included in their pay, depending on whether or not there is a DFAC available or if the Soldier has dependents (Dependents regardless of rank grant Soldiers both BAH (Basic Allowance for Housing) and BAS).
