Really like your comments. I have to admit I prefer this type of videos, on the computer, than the one in a room, as there is way less noise in the background and it is easier to spot what's happenning ^^ It's great that you keep doing these videos... Thanks again for the great vids!

Haha: tl;dr: My friend was offended at the game of his that I picked, so he sent me a new one. I think he lost this game with his first move. :D

what videos do you recommend for new comer beginner to go. Because I sense watching Hikaru no go This game can help you with memorization and with thinking long term ahead. I can't afford all the books I probably need. Well the site I play at there is a Korean 2 don and the guests are decently strong. much much stronger than me.

Hi there i have a question concerning white 2 - the loosing move:
What says high level go opening theory to the situation when black opens with a 3-4 stone? White can always create a situation accoring to "the loosing move" Is it not as bad because black will have the 5th move of the game or what is the reason?
Thanks for your videos! I really appreciate them

I must say if I could only describe this game in a couple words said words would be 'total scattershot.' XD The pieces were just all over the places and I couldn't tell what was what for the longest time. But anyway great analysis on it and I enjoy these videos.

This is just a minor point, as your videos are excellent, but please, try to make sure that you say "black" when you mean black, and "white" when you mean white. So many times you say white when you mean black, and vise versa, it makes things more complicated than they should be.
Also, at certain times, you say a move isn't good but don't give an alternative (you usually do give an alternative, so again, this is a minor point).

Christopher Eshleman he admits he didn't prepare very well for this review, so minor point but maybe finish the video lol

so strange that alphago disagrees with the direction of play theory. Alphago tutor says this is a better move than the normal one (47.1 v 46.8). I think it's probably because alphago only cares to win by a half point, but idk. I think the theory should still probably be adhered to

+Andrew Trevino The Direction of Play, you can get it on the KGS website.

In an amateur game, a play like the second move isn't a big deal. Both sides will make so many other mistakes, it will end up being unconsequential. Don't sweat the small stuff in the opening.

Losing the game by the second move doesn't apply for mere mortal players.

    Wow 3k's suck... wait i'm 4k... damnit
LoL at the "I think you played a good game and should be proud" there were like 100 moves in there where you basically said "And this move is immediately losing because of this..."

    • @Jlundeen

Haha, yeah, but I think it's fair to say someone played a good game even so. Of course he made mistakes from the standpoint of Nick's level, and even more so compared to a pro. But a 3k can play a good game for their level. Heck I'm a beginner at 15k right now and I'd like to think I can be told I played a good game from time to time. :)

i think san-san is no that bad, is an inmortal stone, an old fashioned move, its ineficient, but could be helpfull if you know how to play it, anyway, is not better than 3-4 or 4-4.

i feel like maybe in 2 years kgs has gotten stronger than this, or these two 3ku players are particularly weak. I would lose a game by 100 points if i played this poorly, and im supposedly 4 stones weaker than them!

    • @yagzyalcntas553
      @yagzyalcntas553 4 года назад

well you are either exeggerating hugely or kgs got weaker again, I saw a 7 kyu filling the tigers mouth for no reason yesterday...
