Enjoyed your video I love how a lot of people are talking about how much their collection means to them and how meaningful it is now but in 84 or 85 a lot of people sold their collection to get into CDs saying how great CDS were I guess they’re vinyl didn’t mean as much then??? The same people now are talking about how terrible digital music is Just kind of funny!!!!!

I was one of those that abandoned vinyl in 1986 went straight to CD. Fast forward to early 1989 I got back into vinyl. I realized I missed the interaction between the music and the record playing ritual.

Discogs is one of the tools I use in the valuation of a store and dealer. With over 7k assets, the platform helps inform on an artist's or genre's discography. Collecting music from 1935 onward, I can evaluate if the purchase meets my VG+ criteria.
If an asset is priced too high on a consistent basic, the platform assists in windowing out sellers.

I use Discogs for the 'you have to be foolish to price it so high'. I ask dealers and stores if they realize keeping a record price so high because they use Discogs as their Bible kills their business model.

That Fiddle Classics has a very recognizable price sticker for anyone who's lived in Portland. Oh, I miss the place so!

I store all my vinyl records on vhs cassettes and throw the records away. Started with all my original blue note pressings. Vhs is so much warmer. I love my vhs collection
