it is hard for me to understand why some people click on "dislike" icon.. here on your tutorials. After I came across your photoshop tutorials, i started to feel more confident and creative and more independent in my dealings with photoshop. Not only your tutorials but also your humble, friendly way of talk, gestures, personality had a great impact on my learning., thanks again from the bottom of my heart, bro.
Its just an algorithm thing.. no mattee how bad or good it is there will be always like or dislike.. but consider this it got only 200 dislike compare to 1.1 k like which is nothing..
He does a nice job explaining the process and some of the reasoning behind it. But I understand a dislike, and here is why: certain assumption are made. Like all of my settings are set correctly and tutorials are easy to follow. In the properties, view mode, if you have the three boxes checked, the brush tool doesn’t work. I learned that the hard way and it took time. I get it that there has to be constraints on what you cover, too much..too little. But I understand the frustration of trying to learn this way. If you are learning from these tutorials, thats great and considerate yourself fortunate.
There are many videos on RUclips showing how to do things in Photoshop, but you sir are by far the BEST, very clear spoken words, great screen shots and always going back and explaining each step and the specific tools, bravo!
You're the most important channel in my list. Even though sometimes I'm not ready to watch one of your videos, I still watch them just like I watch a TV show...
Ever since I came across your channel, and your tutorials, my pictures have improved tenfold. Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge of Photoshop and making it available to newbies like me! You are by far my favorite tutorial channel. Thank you so much!
here's several suggestions about which features of Photoshop to learn first Image size alteration Removal of unwanted objects Layers (I read about these and more on Trevs photo blueprint website )
How did I ever live without YOU??? ~ - I started using Photoshop in 1989!!! And I have tons of tricks- EVEN taught in college - BUT your techniques made me EVEN better! Not being arrogant - BUT, I was super good to begin with...
Man,I just completed my editing work and the result is just a banger I can't thank enough on how well the image turned out to be Thank you for the great and perfect explanation.
This is the best tutorial that I have watched in Youbtube so far about photoshop. You did not just show us how you did but you taught us step by step with the knowledge. You are a wonderful teacher! I am a beginner of Photoshop and your lesson filled me with the confidence. Thanks very much.
You're amazing! For the past few days I've watched several other tutorials and you're the first to explain it so clearly and using the "Select and Mask" tool in 2017 version - thank you so much!!! Others use the gradient tool, but I feel you have more control using the lens bur tool as you explained.... excellent!
Again a great, understandable tutorial! Keep up the good work. Though some might find it annoying, I LOVE that you keep on repeating the quick commands like cmd J, cmd I etc., cause by repeating i'm finally starting to understand and remember. Thank you so much for spending time on your great tutorials!
Your video tutorials are always by far the best tutorials I found on youtube. I sincerely appreciate your time and effort of putting together a free-tutorials! You are the best!
Your tutorials the the best! You explain everything - you don't just say, "Do this." You tell us WHY we're doing it and HOW it works. I wish I'd discovered you earlier.
Fantastic - informative, explanatory, step-by-step. Many years ago I came across the statement, "Expect ingratitude", which I've never understood why that seems too often to be the case. So, from just one person in the other corner, let me express my sincere gratitude for your most excellent training videos. Thank you!
Love your tutorials and the way you communicate , very clean, clear and right to the point. Thanks for always share what buttons to click too. I am learning a lot from you!
I am a PhD candidate. I am new to photoshop. I learned a lot from your videos. Your way of demostration is very good. I request you to make a video on making a picture of virus replication cycle. It will help me and many other young researchers to clearly demonstrate the different mechnism mechanism taking place in our bodies. I will be thankful to you.
This is a very helpful tutorial. This gives me the option to shoot with a smaller aperture setting, giving me a larger DOF, helping ensure my subject is sharp. I can then blur the background using the technique taught here.
It's not black, it's not white. It's gray. In the middle. It's far. It's near. This is the most in-depth explanation of blur every found in the history of photography. You make a good teacher. Just arrive at the point of value faster. Good job!
THanks bro - you photoshop and teaching still are in top - you have the charm needed to make it entertaining Keep it up, you are doing a perfect and professional job here :)

Excellent. I'd seen another similar tutorial and they totally skipped the part where you have to turn the mask off to see the result .. I was pulling my hair out. THANK YOU!
Great tutorial! I was trying to figure out how to create a gradual blur on the background of one of my photos, and you explained everything so well, as always. The only thing that was different for me was that once I had created the blur I did not have to disable the mask. Not sure why, but it did not hide the blur for me. Anyhow, I was able to achieve my objective very nicely.
This was super useful and proved to be a worthy trick to know. Thanks for all the wonderful tutorials that you put up. It helps a lot and are very useful and to the point. Keep up the great work.

Hello! First off, thank you so much for this video!! I just have a problem around 9:10. I'm not able to go back to my original background. When I select "Lens Blur" , the original background shows up in the preview but will not actually restore to the photo I'm working on. If you could help me, I would be so grateful!

Thanks for this tutorial. It was very helpful. I appreciate you clarity for each step and explaining how each step works.
Would the gradient tool be useful in applying a focus map to an image? Would that make for a gradual increase in blur from front to back?
It works but saddly its not perfect
