Hi Wayne, I was in KL a couple of months ago and went to the upside down museum. It was pretty busy when i was there, im surprised that they closed and demolished it. Im glad that i went when i did. There are still plenty of things for you to see, though. Have a good time, it's a fun city.
Super bustling city Wayne but at the same time appears less than a stress to get around compared to Bangkok and the footpaths look to be mostly western world class compared to the trip hazards around Bangkok. My new favourite City around SE Asia based on all the You-Tube vids I have watched over the years. Well done Wayne 🤩
When I was there is 2012, people did base jumps from the tower. The area there had many electronic malls and I was hunting for a bigger storage card for my canon camera. Got it with a good price. Loved to walk through KL myself even when it was hot and humid. The malls had aircon for a change.
Excellent Vlog Wayne, what I noticed and what I love about KL is how much greenery there is in the streets, it's excellent. Love that eh, don't always see it in the bigger city's. In general it looks cleaner than Thailand but unless you're walking through the streets like you are then you would never know
Your production value keeps going up Wayne. Really interesting and valuable information in this video. Thanks very much! I'm with you and I appreciate your sense of value and what is worth the time and money and what is not.
Nice one mate. I love how you're always upbeat and happy ay. So many single male expat Thailand vloggers talk about the black dog(depression), but not you Wayno, love it👍
@@WalkAboutWayne Now that I'm your new business manager :) the area you're living in can produce affordable "Bobby Dazzler t-shirts and coffee mugs. You could run a small test batch for sale and see how it does? Perhaps we do a few with your face on them....some in Thai theme etc etc
I thought we need to get a ticket to get on the Hop-On Hop-Off bus. I noticed that you climbed the bus when the driver was not watching. Innocent mistake or maybe a lucky mistake.. haha 😂😂
You should drop by the TRX Exchange Mall which is located about 10mins walk away from the Pavillion Mall. Its KL's new luxury Mall. Go spend half a day there mate!😊
Well Wayne... I've seen a lot of videos of KL Tower and the scenery from above. Unless you wanna do base jumping from up there, then it's ok not to get a content from it. I enjoy watching positive people rambling positive energy more than the bird-eye view of the city.
I’ve seen thousands of vlogs from the tower, some happy and some not so happy. I want to be a different vlogger and do and say what I really feel. Thanks buddy 👍
The Nomad Capitalist Andrew Henderson is basically based in Kuala Lumpur. He's a very smart lad. You got way different investment options and more ownership benefits and perks over there in Malaysia. You want a citizenship and land? You can do it. I'm tellin' you, he knows, bro! He knows!
@WalkAboutWayne both nomad capitalist and nomad elite lived in malaysia but these two have many properties all over the world. So they move around in their global business. I think Andrew spent the most time here (10 years). Nomad elite (7 years in sarawak).
I paid $35 7-8 yrs ago to wait in line to get to the top of One World Trade Center in Manhattan, then at the top it was so crowded you couldn't get to the windows for a look most times, and they tried to sell you time with a pair of binoculars, I wish I never even went to the top.
i know what you mean by thailand type foreigner, i've seen them on youtube. malaysian foreigners are more cultured and classy, western foreigners i mean.
I am one of those Thailand foreigners I admit it, but it’s true yes, Malaysia has a different type of westerner. It’s refreshing walking around and not seeing thousands of us 😂
Welcome to KL. If you need any epic local food tour around Klang Valley do let me know, i can bring you around for free. From Village Nasi Lemak, Dim Sum, Klang Bak Kut Teh, Satay Hj Samuri Kajang, Kanna Curry house banana leaf, Ampang Yong Tau Foo and many more…..
I wish people give 💶 to the man wearing 🐼 costume. He is making an honest living entertaining the crowd there. He doesn't ask much, a few ringgit for him to buy food at the end of the day.
I think they do in KL tower too. Infact I’ve seen it’s the worst one for rushing. You get a couple minutes in the sky walk box and then ushered around quickly. They have too, to keep the tourists coming through 👍
Mad dogs and Englishmen, Brings back memoiries of walking KL in that tropical heat. Mate grab some good quality Loose leef Tea 1 kg of BOA brand. Take back to Thailand and your sorted.
Wayne .. a different topic---I see that there is a rugby club on Loi Kroh now. I played back in the 70s. I was a hooker. My mom had a bumber sticker, "My Son Is a Marine." But she refused, "my son is a hooker". Anyway, in the 70s that. S. America rugby team's plane crashed. A few survived on a special "diet". We had another bumber sticker, "Rugby players eat their dead". It was stolen off my car. Think it was my girlfriend. So maybe that team has a position for me. Can't run, not strong ..but just as crazy. Forgot, wouldn't mind buying you a drink at that club. And we could both sign up, right?
You are right Wayne. The UK or the West have its problems but I find it is exaggerated by the people, when the problems are not that big of a deal anyway. Except for maybe the US, it's quite sh.. over there 😅. I guess when the country is rich & you don't have much problems. You need to create a new set of problems to get your life more meaningful. I love the UK & u should be proud to be British.
Looks like a nice place but a little to modern and sterile looking for my taste. I don't know why I imagined it to be different. I'd visit for a long weekend or something but I couldn't see myself living there. I'm really enjoying the travel vlogs!
Only looks modern in some specific parts of the city, the traditional village is just near the city, the rest of the country still remains traditional looking but with modern amenities and facilities. But the best thing about Malaysia is THE FOOD.
@@WalkAboutWayne ah.... maybe you've been there already by now anyway.... its part of Bukit Bintang... where all the decent bars are... if you go down the hill past all the sleezy massage shops and it goes right up the road up the other side.. bars on either side... that's Changkat
Nice clean country. The Malaysians should be proud of themselves.
Lovely area around the tower, very high end apartments and roads.
No bums, beggars, drunks, druggies or obvious scammers all over the place unlike European, American and even Canadian and Australian cities.
I absolutely agree!
i've seen some homeless
Hmmm, I wouldn't go that far, but it's a great place.
There are, but not a common sight
And NO garbage on the streets !!!😮

Those kebabs get me every time. Something about a kebab 🤣. Cheers mate.
Another great video from Kuala Lumpur Wayne, thanks for sharing your experience and showing us the beautiful sights!

It would have been great to see some BASE jumping. I'm sure that got banned by now though. KL is a great city for walking.

The tower in Pattaya was a bit cheaper than KL and a good walkabout today in some pricey places . Enjoy the rain and have fun . Cheers Mate .
Thank you mate.
How much does it cost from the airport to the city center/towers area? Thinking about a quick trip there
It came to about £10 for the train from the airport to downtown. If you get a return it’s cheaper and you can use the return whenever you want.
@@WalkAboutWayne Ok, awesome, thanks
The place where they rush you (time limit) is the Petronas Twin Towers. The Kl tower i dont think there's no time limit.
