- Ugh, So close to being done, yet so far. And I have to STOP now!?!?!?!?! Here is why....

In our last jet boat video, we completed the touch-up and repair work on the bottom side of the boat. I corrected some damage and reapplied gelcoat, primarily focusing on the keel area. With that work done, this marks a big milestone in the project. I no longer need the boat leveled out on jack stands. Heck, I can actually get the boat back onto the trailer! This means I can finally get the boat out of the shop and free up my lift-which is huge because I have another project waiting to get into the shop that I’ve been putting off for several months.
As much as I don’t want to stop working on the boat and lose momentum, I have to seize the opportunity to get this next project in. The build of the boat is far enough along that all the remaining work can easily be done with it on the trailer.
So, it’s time to officially get the boat back onto the trailer and take it out of the shop. Stay tuned to watch me struggle to get the boat loaded up and to see what could possibly be cool enough to take higher priority in the shop than the jet boat.
If you liked the video, don’t forget to hit that thumbs up and drop a comment below-it really helps the algorithm know what’s up! And if you haven’t subscribed yet, I’d love to have you join us on the channel! (Yes, I’m saying you need to subscribe) 😉
Thanks for watching!

About AutoTechNick:
Growing up in rural Oregon, I was always around Hot Rods & Race Cars. I imagine my early exposure to this culture ignited a spark of interest in cars, which remains my passion.
🎓 I am a proud Alumni of Wyoming Technical Institute @WyoTechAutoMechanicSchool where I studied Automotive Technology, Performance Engine Building & Street Rod Fabrication. In addition to "WyoTech," I graduated from the BMW Service Technician Education Program, more commonly known as BMW S.T.E.P.
🏎️ I spent nearly ten years working in various BMW dealerships as a Master Technician. After a move back home to the PNW, I found myself no longer servicing German-made machines but now working with Italians. I spent nearly another ten years as a Ferrari Master Technician & Shop Foreman at a local Ferrari dealership.
🏆 Ferrari selected me as one of 12 technicians worldwide to compete in the "Ferrari Testa Rossa Awards" for four years consecutively. Finishing in 3rd place in 2016, & in 2019 I was able to place in 1st, winning the competition & earning the title of the "Top Ferrari Technician in the World!"
🚀 As my time with Ferrari came to an end, a new career path awaited me…. Aerospace. I am currently working at Blue Origin, helping to build & develop the BE-3PM and BE-3U rocket engines.
With my new career path, I needed an outlet for my automotive passion, thus the reason for this channel…

Thanks for the great videos. I'm in the process of reflooring my 78 Eliminator. These videos are essential for guys like me doing it for the first time. Thumbs up.
Something I did the other day. Took 2 of the harbor freight wooden dollies. Stole the casters. Took a couple scrap 1/4" plate and made two new solid dollies about 2x2' squares. Then took a couple old jackstands and welded them solid to the dollies. I used my trailer to setup the hydrostream in a 3-point hold. And also had the axle out of the trailer. Those now rolling jackstands went to the corners. And my modified jack up front let me turn that hull sideways in my shop. We have a drag-n-drive car coming in and that gives me the best room.
Yet another awesome video!
Watched because of the boat, but looking forward to the belt replacement video's
Don't see a problem at all. Keep up the good work.
I love to hear it!!! I have lots of great stuff to share on the Ferrari world!
The peeling of the crash wrap was so satisfying, hope to meet and see you next summer
I cannot wait to get out on the water and spend some time with the local group!

Looking forward to the 355 work, but must say, miss the boat stuff..
Good stuff as always 👍
Much appreciated
19:18 I’m like 😱there’s more assembly to do! I’d for sure scratch it but I can tell you’re very meticulous so it’ll be ok.
You know I’m 99% sure nobody has put a Ferrari engine in a jet boat, just saying!
Really… worlds best FERRARI tech!!! Awesome 👏 No wonder you obsess over the smallest details.
I felt a strange disturbance in the force recently, must have been when you decided to stop working on the boat??? I do have a boat question for you.
What are you going to do for a trim gage for the diverter? I can only find one that has to attach to the diverter hydraulic cylinder? With my diverter (Exweld) I dont think I can attach it? Is there some other electronic way to do it???? Im thinking get the kit from CP. But use a linear actuator to move the arm on the sensor. Wire actuator to diverter control and use limit switches to control travel. Hit up button, actuator moves until it hits the limit switch and shuts off stopping gage travel, pump can keep running . hit down button, actuator moves again until limit switch is hit???? I believe I can build a nice aluminum box and put this under dash???? Your thoughts???
What kind of pads are you using on your jack stands to protect the gel and fiberglass?
They are just harbor freight cheapies. Just search for Jack stand pads.
