I was born in 1955. I was just little kid when this came out and I absolutely loved it! I was fascinated by the name as well as the tune. I was able to picture the whole thing with my imagination !
Anytime I would go to visit my Uncle Russ I would ask him to play this piece on the upright piano from his mother. Loved it. This rendition is so very much like his style. Thanks for posting this.

I just bought this original recording at a vintage store, wondering who the hell “Bent Fabric” was/is … And holy smokes, didn’t realize it was this iconic song that none of us could avoid even if we wanted to…
I used to have a whole album of Bent Fabric tunes that even had "Chopsticks" if you can believe it. Also, this is on the 2-CD anthology, "Instrumental Gems of the '60's" along with a bunch of other great tunes on the Collectors' Choice label if you can find it.
