@@79brumley Labradar was before garmin. Plus Labradar has a smaller system now also. Biggest thing is the price is lower. Then the other systems. I am doing some new reloading before April. So I ended up buying the Garmin system.
@@79brumleysomeone’s a garmin fan boy 😂😂. This is how technology goes. As things progress, price generally drops. Never seen someone so upset about a similar product being cheaper
I just bought the LabaradarLX last week because the Garmin doesn't plug into a PC to export data. The LX does. That's a deal-breaker for me for Garmin.
For the people complaining about it being a garmin rip off, why are you so mad? This literally does nothing except benefit the consumer as it creates stiff competition and drives the price down. i think you just mad because you bought a Garmin and are sad there is now a cheaper option. if it performs like a Garmin for that price i'm all ears.
Except when intellectual property rights are not enforced, people lose incentive to innovate, because someone can steal their work and make the same money off of it. That's, like, the whole point. It may make it cheaper in the short term, but it stifles innovation.
Hey FCJ - Do you or anyone know if this one will let you plug into a PC and export the data, easily (and not involve phone app)? Like the Garmin does NOT allow as I understand it, but the LabradarLX does?
@@FClassJohn thanks. Though, after paying closer attention to your video til the end, and he says "April" means I'm keeping my LabradarLX I just bought, regardless. That unit has been a huge boost for me. Though it is about twice the size as the Garmin If I find out about the Athlon and can remember to post back, I will.
Incredible rip-off. Thousands of shots at indoor and outdoor ranges and my Garmin has only missed two of my shots and has never picked up another gun's shots. If they have a delete button that is easily accessible that's worrisome.
Do you transfer data off of the Garmin? And if so, to your phone; having to involve that & an app? How/why Garmin missed this basic capability is beyond me. I bought the LabradarLX for this reason. It's bigger, but to have that, I don't care. Curious if Athlon buggered that feature, too.
It was a good run, garmin. Your move.
Looks exactly like the Garmin lol
half the size half the price Garmin not the first one out either
@Liam-ql7tr I still love my Garmin and no need to switch
Wow. Garmin could sue them into non existence.
Love the competition, and my Garmin.
This will be good for the market
If they copied more than the case, it is very bad for innovation and thus bad for us
@@wathaet1386price being cheaper is bad for the market if it provides similar results??
Love this. Garmin was to expensive ans this should help the whole market be better for the consumer
Good. To. Know.
Thanks John 👍🏻
Looks exactly like a Garmin! I bet there will be a lawsuit before too long… I’ve seen lawsuits over less…
Fx Radar, Labrador, Garmin now Athlon ( for smaller units)
Keep them coming and price will go down
Yep Garmin gonna be dropping the price soon lol
Garmins going to sue them and they're going to go bankrupt for patent infringment.
I doubt it I'm sure athlons lawyers made sure it was different enough. Their app sounds like it's way better than garmins too.
@@79brumleywhat patent? Doppler radar isn’t theirs. Form factor isn’t a patent, that’s why all phones have come to look the same.

$350 is definitely not $550 !
Bout time somebody gave Garmin some competition

In april.yoju will be able to purchase either for 350
Just got finished looking at this on euro optics!!
Chinese Garmin

Exactly. Competition drives innovation and drives down prices. Both of which are good for the consumer.
And if it was orange they would be whining that they ripped of Lab radar.

Garmin is $495 shipped to your door from notjustguns. $350 is too high for the Chinese bootleg IMO
Anybody want to buy a lab radar?😂
They couldnt make it look just a little bit different than the Garmin lol

I don't know but next time I'm near one I'll take a look and see what the options are.

Chi-na
Hell yes
Looks like Garmin is going to be suing athlon pretty soon for patent infringement lol.
nope garmin not the first mini radar chronograph
Name the patent….
Garmin buyers really hating 😅
Work on pistol?
Show me of a video of it in use! As the old saying goes… “No pictures, no proof.”
Absolutely shameless Garmin clone.
Sounds like a garmin owner!
Just copy other products and call them your own
Would be great if it calculates BC
They told me there always a trade off for size versus features and it’d need to be larger than the marker wants to do Bc correctly.
Garmin ripoff
This makes Garmin a ripoff
Did Garmin ripoff the Labradar concept?
Don't care. It's cheaper. Same functionality.
Why push a product that undermines innovation by copying china style. Not touching that and I am sorry to see John be a shil

If understanding the difference between pushing a button vs. holding said button down for a set length of time, it may be too difficult for you.
