National Trails Day Party 2023 | Bear Claw Poppy Trail | Trail Alliance of Southern Utah | TASU

Join TASU, the BLM, Red Cliffs Desert Reserve, NICA, and Southern Utah bike shops as we celebrate National Trails Day, “...an annual event dedicated to promoting and advocating for the preservation of America’s vast network of trails.”
Last year, more than 12,000 volunteers across the country built and maintained over 350 miles of trail as part of the festivities. Here in Southern Utah, Bearclaw Poppy is #1 on our list of trails in desperate need of preservation. The proliferation of illegal trails, popularity with locals and tourists, and the presence of endangered species threatens continued access to the area.
We gather at the Bear Claw Poppy trailhead for a morning of education, fun, giveaways and trail work. Thanks to our local government agencies and bike shops, our first-ever National Trails Day event is a success!
