I'm not an ev guy, but I agree all electric vehicles should have the same charging connection. ( Remember when cell phones all had different charger cables? What a pain in the ass that was.)

Of course Tesla wants more EV adoption across the board, that means more people buying Teslas. I'd also assume that more EV adoption across the board means Tesla can sell more companies batteries as well.
Maybe we can get a sane president to get our oil and gas back to where it was in price and that EV crap will go away

I think it’s a great deal.
The resources used to produce the metals to make batteries is more damaging than gas or Diesel. Infact look at how much of gas and diesel it takes to mine. Then let's talk about the end use of disposal of batteries. The length of range is not enough to entice me. Then wich right now isn't happening but don't worry it surely will. Tax on charging... its coming and closing in. Just like road tax for gas. I think hybrid is the way to go. Not 110% electric. I could keep going on.. and on and on and on.
I didn't care much for them until I finally got the Hummer EV. I have almost no interest in my Sierra now. Even when I drive the new trucks they feel archaic in comparison, it's almost laughable. The Hummer does everything better than my Sierra for what I use it for. Tows my Jet Ski's just fine, gets 350 miles of range which is more than I ever really need in a day. It drives smoother than my Sierra, its faster, it's quieter, the tech is superior, the handling is better due to the low center of gravity having all the weight in the floor. I have level 3 charging stations everywhere near me, but I can also just charge at home....so I rarely have to visit one. All the politics, and earth saving stuff everyone debates about I don't even care about if I'm honest. I like performance, and whatever is going to get me the most of it. There are already companies recycling the batteries, and the next gen ones will use even less rare earth material. As much as I hate to admit it EV's are just better for almost everyone who doesn't need a diesels towing capability. That said, I still LOVE me some ICE powered vehicles and I'm sure I'll always own one as well.
We need a diesel hybrid! Why can’t gm make on dammit! Imagine the 3.0 diesel with a hybrid to bump up the hp/torque/range?!
Sorry but i will not buy a EV vehicle. I will stick to gas or diesel vars ot trucks.

@@G-Rated i am here to hear what BS they are pushing to the public that do not know any better. Also that EV batteries generate more pollution than a gas car. Another point 90-95% of a gas car can be recycled but less than 50% of a EV.

I think Elon is smart not to make *gm* their enemy. They learned from Ford to make them folks an alley. It’s not a terrible deal for Tesla, but it certainly benefits *gm* more as they still plan to build their own Ultium charging infrastructure will still be going up at Pilot and Flying J truck stations around the country. This is a quick temporary fix for Ultium products already on the road and being delivered today. SMART SMART SMART.
When ever Toyota EV comes out Tundra EV and all cross Toyota vehicles when Japanese and Chinese makes vehicles gas and Diesel and EVs it's always is better than Tesla model S, Toyota Prius 2023 and Camry hybrid and Highlander hybrid and Sienna minivan hybrid, Toyota is working on hydrogen technology
