I bought one of these when they came out. Been running it since without issue as an infantryman. The point about the outer belt rubbing something raw is a great observation as it does just that. In my case, my love handles. It handles what I mount on it well. Holster, one mag, two grenades, one banger.

This belt with Qore Performances ice vent padding & Crye Precisions belt suspenders is god tier.

I've been running my Bison belt for two years now... I switched the inner belt to the HRT ARC TEGRIS INNER BELT; much stiffer making the Bison fit perfectly for me...

Truly a big shift in tactical nylon as it pretty much started the whole thermo plastics (ie. Tegris/Curve) craze in the industry

    Love this belt.
Been running it for a couple years.
I ditched the limp inner belt and got a firm Blue Alpha EDC belt replacement.
Works great. Some rubbing, but I've worn it daily for extended weekends without much issues.
Would wear it to combat if I were still deploying.
    Rah!

I’ve used mine for about a year shooting USPSA. 2” width is cash money for tekloks and a padded inner belt replacement that HSGI makes that escapes me. I usually hang 3 mags, LBX IFAK, and a CUBL mounted holster off it. The 1.5” belt is also clutch for times when you are wearing an IWB holster and need to pay out the slack with the last tab. I pull the IWB holster move often at work at the LGS for when I make a lunch run. The mismatch of the inner outer hasn’t mangled clothes to bad yet. Only major wear point is the tag end of the adjustment. The one wrap used to bundle up the tag end wears itself and the softer tubular nylon out after about a year of consistent use. I’d advise investing in a role of one wrap for replacement and just general utility.

If that second tab is designed to cover the added girth of an IWB holster, that’s absolutely brilliant.

I never noticed the rubbing issue with mine, guess I got lucky. I enjoyed the bison belt a lot while I owned it, it's definitely on the more flexible side compared to some competitors though so you want to make sure that is your preference or you're going to run a relatively light loadout. My only mistake was the sizing. I was between small and medium so I went with a small, this caused there to be a large gap in the front where there was no tegris or molle, just 1" webbing - lost real estate and rigidity from that. I'd definitely go with the bigger size if you are between two of them.

Really can't say I'm a fan . . . ordered a number of their products and keep having qc issues. Ordered a new fcpc and the shoulder strap just wont fit through the cobra buckle. Carrier stitching is pretty abysmal for something that is marketed as a top tier product with tons of the stitches out of the package fraying. Had the same issues with the belt as well - basically pulled a stitch out by hand because it was sticking out.

I’ve been wanting to try out a new belt thinking about moving away from the ronin to try out the tegris belts what would be a good choice between the AXL Eclipse belt or the Ferro Concepts belt?

I’m partial to the eclipse. Both are great

I had bison belt for six or so months. After fairly light range use the belt started to come apart and the stitching started to fail. Shame, it was decent belt.

My biggest issue with the belt is honestly, there just seems to be way better options for the price. Ferro makes good stuff (albeit sometimes super over hyped *cough* slickster *couch*)
